I didn't see the topic posted anywhere else, sorry if it is. Anyone have thoughts they'd like to share about the ODP tryout this weekend? My DD was at the 99 session. We counted roughly 60-70 girls. The whole 2 hours seemed odd being indoors at the futsal facility?? Next weekend is supposed to be outside? Very few evaluators seemed to be taking many notes, is that a bad sign for everyone that turned out? I know very little about the process other what I've read here. Basketball

On the guys side they rarely took notes either. I would not read too much into it. They take note of certain players. Don't forget there will be a pool chosen and then it will be whittled down from there so right now they are taking names not so much notes. Noticed the poster name, would that be EMSA ?

Used to be back in the day... Arlington now for 2 years. Practice in benbrook

Having them play futsal is not odd. It goes hand in hand with the current and new direction of US Soccer. The emphasis is on a possession oriented game, not Kick Ball. Futsal is about team possession, shape, and movement.

Good to see kids from there playing at higher levels. Good luck with the tryouts. ODP can be a great experience for a player.

Not sure how they did the '99s but the 43 '98s were all on one court...it was a mess!
