Well assuming no rainouts, some good and personal match ups:
1) Battle for dominate Sting team before ECNL: Q vs. A
2) Battle of Southlake or westSIDE: SR vs. Sting W
3) Battle to move up in the standings: LP Daglish v. Shaw
4) Longstanding battle: SR vs. Daglish

I felt like it was going to be Danglish or Guiterrez bidding for the FC Dallas spot. However, I was thinking the change was going to be during the second half of the season.

Personally, I think it's a smart move for that last spot.

I say hats off to this group of families. They've managed to maintain control of "their" team as opposed to being beholden to what any particular club may want. They serve as hope that parents do have some control if they band together and use it. At some point the machine / club will take over but what you've managed to do in my book is a good thing for NTX soccer. Of course it doesn't hurt that the team is solid on the field as well and could use that as leverage as needed.

Take a bow FC Dallas Waldrum (or whatever name you choose).... job well done in my book!

cheers

Just like Shaw's recent relocation, this is a great move for this group. They went from being the second team at a club with a questionable future, to the top team at an ECNL club with tremendous facilities. All of which will only help their ability to recruit in the coming years.

What a deficient view on player development. It may seem like a 'machine' but how do you know your coach is actually teaching your DD skills the right way? I want my DD to experience many coaching styles and views. That doesn't mean jumping teams every year. why should us parents look at a team as "our" team....surely it's the coach and group of players your daughter wants to play for?! You pay a club for it's professionals, and correct me if I'm wrong but your sign for the club not the coach in most cases.....

Sounds to me this one paragraph breathes everything that's wrong with "Dallas soccer culture"

I don't thinking moving constantly is the way to go, but I'll correct you; Its all about the best coach for your DD development. Division and club are secondary.

its hard to remain unbiased as my kids have had great coaches with a great club and we have not made any move; in this case if you asked the parents "hey everyone up for a move" I would suspect the answer would be no. In this case with 4 moves in three years I say selfish, the coach is all about whats right for him, not the kids; How in the world is moving clubs this often good for the players ? It is not and unless you are BW or the club doc you do not know the why, but to me it seems like a coach that is all about "me". Either way history says set your clock as in another 12 to 14 months we will be right back here as this group heads to club number 5.

BW was promised many things at LP that never came to him. Most notably the CPI program and it was promised to the parents as well but....the LP Elite coach did not like the program or his girls attending it so it was shelved...this after it had a ton of success. The families and coach had every right to be upset. This was handled poorly and is a poor reflection on LP leadership - or lack thereof. Great move for BW and his 00 team. BW will get the FC Dallas ENCL 00 team and his kids have an opportunity to play for him in the ECNL capacity. That would never happen at LP because LP does not meet the criteria for an ECNL club...the facts are the fact here. The bet is (and I would take this bet) is that Pulp's 00 girls will end up trying out for BW's ECNL team in about 9-10 months....

LF moved the team from Longhorns to Sting to Liverpool not BW. BW took team over and this is first move for him.

Doesn't it still take 75% of a team to move with its bye? There was obviously some cohesion among the team parents behind this coach. If the team wanted ecnl status, why would they not go for it? Is it better to try and fail or be be scared and stay #2?
