It appears Mr. Waldrum jumped ship to FCD. He also took his '99 with him too.

There is always a reason behind a sudden move like that

I thought Juve Black also went to FC Dallas, but I don't see them on the website. Did Juve also move over to FC or are they staying independent?

wonder if they will be allowed to buy an FCD jersey from a sporting goods store or the knockoff for $450?

Funny thing is my dd has played for the same coach for her entire time in select. Both teams (00's & 99's) committed 100% to the move before hand so don't see why you are so concerned. We did what we thought was best for our dd's and team. If you don't look out for you and your dd's best interest who is?

Nope, bored. BW has done some training with my DD in the past. To be clear for you, the who is next comment was directed at the club. Coaches and entire teams leave mid season something stinks. Will there be more fleeing the might Liverpool?

Why Leave? I thought I read on this txsoccer website that Liverpool would be getting the ECNL bid. Could that be wrong?

Guessing he left with his teams to FCD because FCDallas 00 LHGCL D1 division didnt have a team in that division and they would get the ECNL spot and it was a good opportunity to keep the team together and Ben could coach them.

Possibility of players leaving to FCD anyway might be big for an ECNL spot...also Liverpool FCA does not have an ECNL spot and or if they get a spot????? then the LP DOC's team might take BW top players and BW would not be coaching a top team. He left STING for a similar situation possibly???

The Dallas Clubs with ECNL spots will always need top teams and top players to compete...so if they do not have one like D'Feeters and FC Dallas...those clubs will have a huge need to have a top team. This is my guess as to why BW left and or why any other smart coach would leave.

I have been told by more than one ECNL club that there will not be a 6th team in North Texas invited to ECNL. The division of talent is too great already for the region, the local clubs would never vote for it, they are at a conference of 10 (don't need 11) and ECNL has larger issues to solve than another team in NT.

That said, I think it was a matter of time until someone jumped. Makes complete sense it as them. There was only one or two others that made sense so why wait.

As for Pulp, I would fully expect them to stay in place. Chris has done an admirable job keeping his 98's together and convincing them that ECNL was not for them / everyone. I was actually surprised they did not win the US Youth Soccer National Championship this past year. Lots to be won, gained and recognition earned outside of ECNL. There are a number of reasons why people choose to not play ECNL which is why there is more than one flavor of ice cream.

Has anyone heard anything to the effect that the ecnl clubs who have had team defections are trying to push rules inside ecnl that would restrict team movement like we saw this year? Surely, the league wouldn't consider something so anti-competitive.
