UAL 06s any insight

Anyone care to weigh in on how things are going over in UAL for the 06s?

Will anyone from this group be participating in the Primetime tourney?

Due to rain and schedule we've (FC Xtreme 06) only had the chance to play in 2 games so far, so hard for me to comment on the rest of the league. As for PrimeTime tournament, we would love to, but 3 of our girls are out of town that weekend so we can't make it. Would love to have seen how we stack up though. Maybe next time.

Anyone know of any other tournaments before the registration ends for Spring season?

UAL schedules 8 games, but they only guarantee 6 games. So when a couple of games get rained out like this season, there are no makeups scheduled unless 3 games get rained out. The '05's playing at Plano Carpenter have lost 2 games this season (one being this last Sunday with absolutely beautiful weather) with no makeups scheduled. Pretty lame playing a six game fall schedule.

Incorrect. We've had one rain out, and it was rescheduled. We played our 3rd game last Sunday, but have a lot of games coming up. Our team is still scheduled for 8 games despite all the rain...let's hope for dry days ahead though...

Yeah we've had one rain out and one forfeit and they've rescheduled both. So we'll still get 8 games. Kudos for trying. We played this past Sunday, but the field was a mud pit. After showing up I was surprised they hadn't cancelled it, but glad they didn't. So far they've done a great job.

LP-Fowler won't be playing the tourney, JF's older teams are playing that weekend. So far no talk of going rogue without him.

Sidenote: Our UAL game tonight was called off. Guess Solar didn't have enough on a Thursday at 6.

Newbfc: Good news, Rain not in forecast, we have enough players, so you'll get another game Sunday.

No drive.. this was Thursday night game(Tonight), but a point could still be made.

update on UAL:

TFC didn't want to get beat yesterday....so they forfeited around noon on Sunday for 3:45pm game. (Disclosure we beat them 10-0 in Sept.) At least they didn't make us drive there. They are inexperienced and learning, not trying to kick them when they are down, but really?? Not even want to play?

I have only been in Texas 3 years. This area seems so sensitive when games get lopsided. Youth sports get lopsided from time to time. Teams kicked out of leagues(and moved up age groups against their will), teams not showing up because they will get beat. I do not understand it. I have been on both sides of a beat down. The wrong side is no fun but what are we teaching our kids? Oh give up, don't try, just surrender like the French. I don't raise my kids that way. You play the season through, try your best. Win or lose, look yourself in the mirror and know you did your best. If you don't want it next season fine, but you committed, you stick with it.
