Re: '03 Division Outlook
Credibility and stability are KEY, play where the competition is, drive a little further and challenge your DD and team. Goes back to the old saying, "How far will you drive your DD?"

I disagree with RASE '04 being in Gold. They would be heavily outmatched at nearly every game. Put them in silver and they'll compete well (don't think that they would win silver, but be near the top). Also I think that the tournaments over the next few months will confirm that there should be some promotion/relegation from last fall's roster of TGPL Gold/Silver teams. It will be fun to see how it will shake out. I would venture to guess that Cosmos, Sting West, and RASE end up in silver.
I am curious as to why 04G RASE would be in Gold vs. a LP Whelan/Keegan or Sting Goodman? I am not saying playing up against quality teams is not out of their realm, but why would an 04 be given that Top Spot vs. an 03 Team that played last season and earned the spot.

I would bet that is ultimately LW's call on who plays where and in what division... I would also think it would be more convenient for him to play his 03 team in gold and his 04 team in silver for scheduling purposes - similar to what DM did with SRSA last season.
The 04s would have as much competition as they want in silver IMO
I also do not think Goodman has earned the right to play gold - yet - they would however be a good match for RASE

The 04 RASE team has beaten 4 of those teams Gold. They'd do well but I'd guess LW would prefer to split his two teams and move 04's to Silver. Just my guess.

Wait, did i just say that?
Master they have beaten 4 of them, but two of those 4 should be relegated to Silver.

Well I guess we'll see how they do against Dalglish 03 this weekend at TFC!

Yes, it would be LW's call as what division either team plays in. In reality this age group is quite transparent, anywhere from 3-10 on any given day can compete. 1-4 are at the top for a reason, consistent wins against opponents. With SRSA out of the equation, or that is the rumor - the division just got a lot more exciting. With or without RASE 04 included.

The 04 RASE debate is an interesting one except for the fact that when they play other 03 teams, they have 03 players from their club and others playing with them. When they play as a true 04 team against 03 teams and win against those teams consistently then that will be a different story.

So are you asking soccer0205dad for jersey number, description? What?
You know this team as well as anyone.
They used at least one 03 before ...they typically have guests for tournament play.
It's not a big deal.

I disagree, it's important when people are so flippant about a great little team. If he can't back up his statement then he shouldn't say anything. In that particulars tourney they did not use one 03. There's the fact. They would give the top 5 teams (excluding SRSA) something different to play against.

I think DeFeeters is really the only big organization looking for an 03 presence that could justify courting an LP coach / team. The ECNL lure is very real and very powerful. But they would be smart to wait at least another year before playing that card.
Solar, FCD and Sting are pretty solid with numbers for D1. Texans have DTS, which by the looks of tournament play will absorb Vitesse to solidify?, and two more potential D1 teams hovering in the low 20 rankings - I guess they could justify courting another top 10 team as well, but not likely.
Interesting observation as LPW has been removed from the LP website. Do you know if they moved to DeFeeters? I think the coach is gone from the website as well.

Re: '03 Division Outlook
I did call the D'Feeters merger a few hundred posts ago (as did Fly Girl), I just missed the team. I will call that Feet are not done gobbling up another team to make an even stronger 03 presence.
Did someone say ssssstttifffff kool aid, count me in for sure \~/ \~/
I must say this just got really interesting and the Fall is not even here yet. What's next? LW to Solar
Feet just got in the game with a Top 10 in the APR and a Top 13 in the FBR. Great move on their part, hope that team can keep it up? Will they wear green and white this weekend at TFC BLue Cup, are they playing?
