Best college camps for girls? Empty Best college camps for girls?

We are thinking of having the dd attend a college soccer camp (or two) this summer. We would prefer an "elite" camp. Any recommendations?

Both my daughters did the A&M academy camp last summer. Had a blast and learned quite a few new things to add to their arsenals. Not sure how their overnight camps are except I have heard good things. My older one may go this summer.

My dd attended the A&M overnight camp last year and LOVED it. Coach G is amazing, and he brings in other college coaches to work with small groups, so there is lots of quality instruction and scouting going on. It did seem like most of the other coaches were from D2 and D3 schools, but I heard that was because my DD's age group was too young to seriously recruit.

i've always heard good things about the A&M Camp, but have never tried it. I talked with somebody that went last summer. They had great things to say about the camp, but did say that they were disappointed with the level of talent that was there. Thought there would be more elite, but seemed to be more rec.

I also hear that a great camp that has a bunch of top talent is Tatu's camp.

University of North Carolina puts on a good summer camp. Our goal keeper went last summer and had nothing but good things to say about the camp.

I heard good things about the DBU camp! Smaller camp that might be able to give your DD more attention!

Actually I was looking for university-based camps to give my daughter a look at that experience.

I did Texas A&M when I was playing and loved it. I went as a goalkeeper though it was great in my in my opinion i learned a lot and it was great training. The camp is well run, and i loved being on Texas A&M campus

I've heard this is the time to send them to the colleges that your child is interested in. (Maybe even ID camps instead of overnight camps.) If your child is interested in playing at A&M, then it makes sense to go there. Although A&M offers coaches from other schools, I'm not sure where (other than their website) to see who would be in attendance. You might look at Exact Soccer camps and see where they may be having camps this summer. They tend to have several coaches at one camp. I know FC Dallas has a combine camp where college coaches come to evaluate players in June.

TCU camp used to be great until about 4 years ago. Now it's like a rec level camp aimed at the YMCA crowd.

My DD went to camp at UT-Austin last summer. She had a great time and learned a bunch. She wants to go back again this year.

My DD has done both A&M and UT camps and she much prefers the UT camp. I was surprised as the accommodations at the A&M camp was much better. But she said the UT camp was better. It also helps if you get several teammates to go as well. I think they cost about the same...around $600
