Re: College camps
If you're talking about elementary and middle school kids it should be seen like any other summer camp. A fun place away from home that allows them to meet new people and learn new things. My DD has attended both TTU and A&M on multiple camps. She loved every trip.
For high schoolers, it would be more cost effective to attend a couple of schools you're interested in and see what feedback you receive there. If that feedback doesn't appear very positive then an ID/Exact camp makes sense. The ID/Exact camps will include mostly D2 and D3 coaches from smaller programs that pool their resources to host a camp.

Yea exactly. If the dream schools don't give you feedback, you should look into smaller schools that will idea fit for your child.

I would have said the same thing a few years ago. However, after having several college coaches come out to our games and contacting me I would say freshman year is a must. Our girls are in 8th grade and things definitely move a lot quicker then I expected.

What level are the college coaches that come out to see your daughters play?
