okay you have got to be kidding me. Negligence? Wanted my DD to play with her peers? Keep these people as far away from your pickup as possible. What they want is a league that they don't have to pay for. Mr or Mrs Negligence is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Somebody will get kicked, twisted ankle, or something, its kids playing. Who cares what "you" want, pickup is not for you it is for the kids. As far as "teams" go, friends want to play with friends because they have more fun that way. If your concern is about the teams and winning or losing then you have lost the reason for pick up games anyway. Different ages mixing is pickup soccer. I have a suggestion for the pick up soccer. Keep doing it. Find a place for the kids to play, let everyone know where to go, the more the merrier, and stay out of the kids way as much as possible. Pick up is "free play" and the more coach and parental envollvement there is the less free fun it is

this began has an 05/06 pick-up which I had no problem with. My 04 stayed home! free-play is what I was hoping for and is indeed what my dd got because she was not being coached (though some were). I stood back and watched without a word to her or others!

I assure you, I (independant parent) pay my dues to the club my dd's are associated with but yesterday was for fun. We weren't looking for a free league...my dd just wanted to play soccer! Yes, with girls around her age and she knew good and well she would not have her "friends" with her but wanted to go anyway. Amazingly, that is how she makes new friends sometimes.

She didn't play much and she was mixed with other than 05/06 girls...that's what I was not pleased with. And, I care what I WANT because I am the one taking her and supporting what SHE WANTS. She wanted to play soccer and I wanted her to have fun with HER PEERS!

PICK UP GAMES PART DUEX!!

The weather is looking up for this Saturday, high 50's and SUNNY!!

I have had more requests to be on the distribution list for the next event.

Looking at this Saturday @12:45-2:45pm. Woodland Park in Richardson. Plenty of space for small sided fields and/or futsal on the tennis courts.

More bibs were purchased today with the "profit" I turned last night. Smile

Lets keep this one to 05s and 06s everyone.

Going to be fun.

Pick up games for this weekend are canceled.

Sorry everyone, but I have the pleasure of coaching a group this weekend in a tournament. Going to be fun!

I will post for the next possible date we can target.
