Didn't see any 05 girls, but while waiting for our final, watched the FCD Premier 05 v. OC Venom 05 boys. All I can say is wow! Unbelievable skill for this age. If you get a chance to watch them, do it.

Sorry, I wasn't out there this past weekend. It was a good 05 group of teams at the Gold level, playing 7v7.

I think it showed the work Kicks put in over winter paid off. Last time Kicks and LP Reina met it was 0-4. This time it was 1-2.

I would give a big shout out to Liverpool Reina. They are tough to play against. They have a shutdown sweeper at this age. She is not highly skilled but she is fast and very aggressive and clears it. Just so i wont offend anyone, she could be skilled but i see her clear it almost every time. The team is well rounded and they are tough to score on. The parents are real classy and I would like to see this team in the Gold bracket for future tourneys.

Even though they didn't advance, the Futbolitas played good soccer. They are learning the right way. FC Divas had a top goalie. She was really good!

Kicks played really well..Awesome team and families..Great improvement from the last time we played them... And yes if that FC Divas goalie is looking for a team let me know...lol

Awesome game from LP Reina. Easily the most competitive game for either team the entire weekend. I was impressed by LP's midfielder/ forward. She was diffucult to contain and presented problems whenever/ wherever she was on the field.
And I agree w/ others on the Divas GK. She was awesome. She made some saves that you normally don't see at U8.

Sounds like it was a good one. The U8 8v8 bracket looked very competitive with another DT South team winning it all. Very impressive.
