Someone at SLC should be able to figure that out your the only team tomorrow playing at such a friendly "nuetral" sight.
No kidding!

Ours have been running about 100 minutes. Normally two 40 minute halves.DDad wrote:Question - how long are the games in HS Soccer for the playoffs?

Keep running those 100 minute games and get real tired.

I suggest you try to push back the start to 7:30 or pick to defend the west goal in the first half. We started at 6:00 and from about 6:30 to 7:30 the Keeper on the east end needed a Welders helmet.

Midland? I'd rather drive to El Paso than risk allowing SL a third playoff match at their home field.

IF SLC and Grapevine win, it just seems crazy that both teams will travel 5 hours each way, lose at least a day of school and pay $200 a night for a crappy hotel room when their fields are just a good punt away from each other. I am pretty sure either team would give up the home filed advantage and play at the other's home to keep from making the trip. The same could be said for any of the remaining 8 teams.
On the boys side, SLC traveled to Midland for last Friday's game and are there again for today's game. If they win today, they get to go back later this week for Regionals. I understand the meeting in the middle and not much can be done when you play the El Paso schools. Having the Regionals in Midland is a different story.

Re: Playoff brackets?
the drawback is that none of the players have played on a full-sized field in such a long time that they get tired faster.

Yes sir, no one doubts the facility ... it's the constant howling wind and dust ... the dust is in your eyes and teeth at all times ... on the whole it sucks

We got tired a little too soon to make it to the rematch. Good luck in Midland.

The UIL brackets now show the Region I games at Birdville ISD.
