I saw Mutiny 06 last fall and was none too impressed... I have been impressed with their play this spring. What happened? Seemed like a pretty big turn around. Or maybe I saw a bad game last fall.

Haven't seen them full-sided but played them in 3v3 and yes, well coached and moved the ball around nicely.

Pat Shepherd has done a great job with his mutiny 06 girls! Great group of young ladies!

There are two teams, Kicks and Texans that are heads and shoulders above the rest. From there on down it is honestly a toss up. No offense to anyone out there.

Yeah, I'm thinking you haven't seen much of Chacon's team since the PT tournament last fall...even then they weren't a sleeper team! hmmmm...this will be fun!

Its all in fun homeboys and girls... relax. Thats why there are UFC showdowns on the sidelines.. or was that a different team?

oh, that's brilliant....I personally wasn't at that particular game! But, yes things got heated and completely uncalled for....way to let the past be the past! good one

and what the parents do is completely different than how those girls play....

I would add Sting Chacon to the list of the 'above the rest'. From the last time I saw them, they can definitely compete w/ Kicks and Texans.

So, the facts are Sting Chacon & Kicks tied last time they played. Texans beat Chicano 3-0. So I think they can definitely hang with Kicks. LOL

On a serious note, from what I remember Chacon is a good team. They seemed very defensive. I do think they are top 3. I would put them 3rd.

Man.. You guys are way off. The topic is human rankings... Not which team is better. How Mother Theresa, Ghandi and Uncle Si haven't been brought up yet is beyond me.

Would put for sure kicks 1st, but would place Sting Chacone at least tied for second. True texans beat sting chacone at the primetime. Tourney, but there was sooooooo much shenanigans with the refs that given a "real" soccer match, my money is on Sting for sure.

One of the most interesting observations regarding rankings in NTX girl soccer from academy through select, not sure on ECNL yet, is usually the top 3 teams tend to separate themselves from the top ten. This is definitely prevalent in academy and the gap begins to close over time.

I also find it interesting that within the top three there tends to be grouping: either 1st & 2nd are very close and 3rd is above the rest but not quite at the same level as 1st & 2nd or 2nd & 3rd are very close and 1st is separated. It is odd that the top 3 are not usually on the same level.

Last interesting observation, is generally the top 3 consists of two team from larger clubs and one team from an emerging club. I think this is really awesome that parents can focus on the right fit for there dds and not worry about the size of the club when choosing a team b/c any team, with the right circumstances, can be top 3.
