Club Fundraisers
Club Fundraisers
I'm curious from real experience: how many academy parents are participating in these? And have there been any repercussions if you do not?

Academy players do not sign contracts so it is not mandatory to participate in the fundraiser. It does seem the club has more players participating in academy than select.

Is that correct? When I read it I paused because I didn't realize Liga was open to anyone. I went to the website, http://www.fcdallas.com/youth/juniors, and read...
"The FCDY Liga is our in-house development program exclusively for FC Dallas Junior Academy teams on Sunday afternoons at FC Dallas Stadium..."
Can somebody tell me if Liga is exclusive to FCD Youth or is it open?

Yes LIVERPOO does Flower Fundraisers every Spring. We hated it!
And yes it was frowned upon if we didn't sell our flats. We are so much happier now. No more flower Mandatory fundraisers.
Oh and FCD LIGA Sundays. We saw them out there as we had some Sunday games and they all seemed to be wearing FCD Academy gear. I know not a real good answer

At the academy level we did go for some sessions, but I called the coach for my DD age group first and made a connection first. They did not mind at all for us to attend. We were the only one who appeared to be visiting during those times, and did opt not to join. Just not a good fit for us. We wanted more of a local family connection and something closer to us logistically.....
