Which Club am I?
The XXXXXXXXXXXXX Flower Fundraiser kicks off on Monday, March 10th. Each Manager will have a “flower packet” for every
player on the team shortly. The outline of the fundraiser is as follows:
-Each player is asked to sell at least 8 flats of flowers
-Flats of flowers contains 20 beautiful large plants grown right here in Texas. The flats are $22 each.
-Players and families are given a flower packet containing a full color flyer on the outside of the packet describing the
spectacular flower varieties, and inside the packet will be guidelines for the sale. Most questions will be quickly
answered with a review of the forms and flyers inside the packet.
-The player collects the payments for the flowers ordered when the flats are sold. Cash and checks are accepted.
-Checks are made payable to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
-Parents turn in all order forms and money to the team manager on the date requested by the team manager – You
will find the deadline date for the return of orders and money on the back of each envelope
-Sale concludes on Sunday, March 30th
-Flowers are scheduled to be delivered throughout the week of April 11th-18th
-You will be sent the details (location and times) for the pick-up of the flats the first week of April (approximately one
week prior to the pick-up of the flowers.)
-Different locations will be chosen for pick up to make it as convenient for our families as possible
-Parents are asked to pick-up flowers and then deliver them to the customers
-Your original order forms will be available at pick-up so there is no need to make copies.
*** Players who sell more than the 8 flats required will earn $5.00 for each flat over the first 8. These funds will be
credited to players’ accounts to discount club dues.
*** There is also a team bonus of $300 for the team who sells the most number of flowers! There is a second and
third prize as well, and the top flat seller will also receive a $100.00 bonus to be credited towards their dues.
In advance, we want to thank all of our parents for their support of the flower fundraiser and hope you, your neighbors
and friends will enjoy the flowers throughout the Spring and Summer! If you have any questions, please feel free to
give me a call or send me an email.

Re: Which Club am I?
My team has to sell 10 flats not 8 and the cost is $24 per flat not $22. Plus our $5 incentive for each flat over 10 that we sell goes to the team account, not to discount our dues.
We do have an option to "buyout" of the fundraiser at the cost of $10 per flat.

Re: Which Club am I?
If you pay club dues, fees for leagues and tournaments, plus the uniforms - what is in it for the teams? Do you pay less in dues because of it?
On the surface, this seems really strange that it's mandated. What happens to an individual or team if they choose not to participate?
Signed...curious

The wording on my information sheet is exactly what you typed. Except the amounts are different .
If it is not my club, then there must be two clubs doing this same fundraiser, but I doubt it.

Actually, the Solar raffle is very different.
The chance that a participant will see ANY benefit from the results of the raffle are far less than with the flowers.

Solar does OK with this one. In 2011, they sold $130,900 worth of tickets. Their expense on the raffle was $6,771, for a profit of just over $124,000, according to their 2011 Form 990.
