Please list any female coaches and what team they coach for the 05's. Also if your dd plays for particular coach please let me know what she thinks of her coaching style.

Thanks

Karina Davila - Kicks 05

Outstanding role model for the girls. Played locally as a youth, progressed into the collegiate game. Focuses on the individual skill of the player before team tactics, but builds them in as they progress. She is my 06s coach and my DD completely happy with her coach and mentor. Is the type that will take the time out of her own day to work with a player. We need more like her in this area.

My daughter plays for Jaime Arnold, Lady Aztecs '05s. She has been with her since she was 4 years old. I could not have asked for a better role model, coach, inspiration for my little one. Jaime is excellent at finding each gilr's individual talent and building on that. Her main focus has always been to work hard and have fun; if soccer isn't fun for the them they will never improve.

My Daughter knows both Keri Baker and Jaime Arnold very well.  She is a huge fan of them and enjoys playing for them when she gets an opportunity to do so.

My daughter has worked with both Megan Hanlon and Melissa Garrett of Sting.  They are fantastic teachers with lots of patience.

I'm familiar with a few of these coaches and from the ones that I have experience with I'd say Keri Baker and Kat Webb would be the two that stand out to me. Now it really depends on what your DD is like. Both are great coaches but with Keri almost every kid will love her and with Kat you will find those that love and hate her. Personally I'm in the category that really likes her, she's intense but a great skills teacher. If I had a DD that was this age though I'd probably recommend Keri Baker. However at this age I highly recommend trying out other coaches and teams, far to often you will get sucked in by the whole "we should all stick together and it's going to be puppies and rainbows and unicorn kisses and we should never ever leave one another." However let me tell you that there are good coaches out there (Keri and Kat) that will teach your daughters how to play soccer and then there are those that will line them up practice after practice and run the same drills over and over again. Then you will look up two years from now and your team has stuck together and it's now qualifying and you are still playing it long and hoping to out run everyone.

Nows the time to look around!!

There is a diamond in the rough that I don't believe has been listed. Melissa Garrett. We do not play for her but have friends that do, and say that she is amazing.

Melissa is a great coach. Not just good with the girls but knows the game well and what the players need to aim for at the later stages.

We have watched a few of her practices, and her expectations and ability to convey what she wants from the girls is impressive.  She seems to have a knack for evaluating individual ability and gently demanding more.

Is this a serious post or are you joking? I sense some sarcasm here but maybe my senses are a little out of whack lately...
