Who are the top 5 04 teams? Any truth to the rumor that Solar parted ways with their top 04 coach?

Solar didn't part ways, the coach parted ways. He took his teams with him.

Barnes has some argument for 5th as well.

Yes they do, as well as about 20 other teams.

Watched RASE play yesterday and they were fun to watch. Great ball movement, actual plays were being developed, runs off the ball, into space, etc... only regret is I do not have an 04, otherwise this would be the team for her (if she could). Pick away at this group and Liverpool, but for my money they are doing it right; fun to see.

How can that be? They have no coaching. It's just a bunch of recruited kids thrown out there...

If you think 20 teams have a legitimate shot at #5 either your team is out of the top and it pains you to be on the outside looking in or I could use some of whatever you are drinking. The sun even shines on a dogs a$$ every once in awhile. Doesn't mean he is gonna win Westminster

Just going off of BW's FBR, I think #5- #25 is a toss up. I would love to see a Sting Chacon vs. Barnes matchup. Which are #25 & #6. But I do understand where you are coming from touting Barnes as head and shoulders above the next 20. They are LP

No idea about Barnes never seen them play seems they have had some nice wins but them being top 5 or not really doesn't matter. The any given day argument makes teams feel mice but just like English premier league Norwich might beat man city but doesn't mean they will be champions league can any of those teams beat each other? Sure it's possible but the chase to be in the top 5 isn't that wide and it isn't that close. Now Barnes not being among that group is a fair argument and works for me

So to eliminate debate, should the OP change title to best 4 teams?

Not sure of where you are getting your information regarding Barnes, but you are incorrect, we have a solid nine including the "Daglish Sweeper." Note that the coach is looking to expand the team and recently placed an add on the forum looking for quality girls.

Question of the day: is it better to have a minimum required girls to field a team and get a lot of playing time or have a watered down 15 and ride the pine.

Regarding Barnes, they were a solid team when we (Odyssey) played them in TGPL and at that point I could have seen the top 5 argument as legit. From what was shared on a post earlier this week, they lost their best player to RASE sometime this Spring (assuming she isn't playing on both teams). They are not as strong a team without her, unless they have found a comparable replacement.

My belief, from having played against a lot of the top teams is that after the top 4, the next 10-15 can compete against each other any day and either team could come out on top. Lots of good players out there and player movement can change things for teams quickly -- for good or for bad.

9 girls? I don't know about that. I've only seen 7 on a consistent bases and I think 2 or three of them r 05's. Anyway, why so much attention to Barnes, the team will desolve in a few years anyway

Barnes has 9 04s. 2-3 05s who play up and 1 04 who has played for Barnes for the last 4 seasons and also played this previous season on RASE.

Anybody who says otherwise is guessing, trolling or lying.

As the coach, I should probably know.

As for being top 5, I'll add my conjecture to the rest and say we're probably somewhere 7-10.

Okay so there it's official. Barnes out of the 5 spot. Who else is in there? and no half of the 04 teams out there aren't in contention

I wonder do some dads be like..."honey, would u like to play on an LP team? Maybe get noticed by LW and have a shot to play on that RASE team?...or at least Dalglish?"

"well we made the Owens team...if we work on her touch this summer and get her in futsal, she should be a sure bet for an LW team come select..."
