Is RASE 05 now a solar team?

Just curious because I know that their coach's select teams are changing to Solar. If so, lucky Solar.

It's now called RAYS.  

I don't think CP has been coaching that team for a while. Is there really talk of them moving?

It will be very interesting to see how many players and teams from Liverpool were there because of the club or will be moving with the coach.

More interesting is that a day later no comments from LP parents despite them holding a majority on this forum... Perhaps a silence order was issued.

I don't think CP's move will effect the 05's, I don't believe he was coaching them anymore but I could be wrong.

His 98's and 00's were his babies, I don't he was as tight with the 05's after only a few months of coaching.

Last tourney I saw them playing in it was Tahlon coaching this team. CP was no where to be seen. I think CP handed this team back to Tahlon when he was hired/reinstated back to LP.

I would move with the coach but not until holding a team meeting to try to stay together as a team.

I mean how often does a top ranked coach drop down and coach 05's.

If coach is not sure he taking the team at the new club then I would sit tight allow all the solar politics to play out and then possibly make the move.

Dub, Shelby has a point. The last three years anything mention of LP the board would go crazy. Well, lets hear the opinions of the LP supporters. What are you guys thinking?before now LP would be all over it!

Personally, if CP has made the move like all have mentioned, Good Luck and wish him well. As for the RASE '05 team, I have the slightest clue. Like mentioned above, I don't believe CP has been coaching the team.

Okay, it does seem odd we have not heard the opinions of some of the LP personnel.

So let me get this straight, no LP supporters talking and it's a problem or lot's of LP supporters talking is a problem as well? Makes perfect sense for this board  

I don't know if I would consider myself a LP supporter, I'm just not a hater or any club out there because from my experience they all have their good and bad sides to them.

I don't know a ton about the 05 RASE team but from the little I know I never got the feel that they were a CP team, he was mearly a stop gap. So beyond CP's 00 and 98 team I dont see any other team moving, heck I don't really think there would be many of the academy age kids that would even know who CP is or consider moving because of him. Definitely doesn't look like he's taking on an academy team at Solar.

I do have to say though, I'm a fan of his moving, it's made quite a few of these boards much more active.

I do not think this is the end of the fall out. Example AW that left TFC the fallout has lasted a complete year and was fatal to TFC.

TD is the RASE 05 coach and as far as I know is staying.

WOW!!!  I simply say that RASE 05 should be worried about keeping TD out if the jail house and my comment gets deleted by the admin?????  Unbelievable!!

Tahlon is an outstanding young academy coach that has been working closely with CP and LW for many years and will continue to develop this group.

TFC's downfall was caused by poor leadership at the highest levels.  AW leaving was a symptom of that.  His departure didn't cause the turmoil this year.

AW was very instrumental in taking many of TFC coaches that were loyal to him and negotiating the deal to secure the 121 facilities for Andromeda. The leadership was done in a year ago, they were just to full of themselves to see it coming.

I'll prob regret chiming in, but I feel compelled to add my perspective. I've worked closely with Chris and Tahlon recently and I have nothing but respect for what I've gained from the opportunity. I have no comment on CP's current situation b/c I feel it is not my business, but as far as Tahlon goes, I want to reaffirm that I too believe he is a fantastic coach and the girls he's worked with are fortunate to have had him.

These discussions make me want to remind us all that the kids are effected most by all of the politics... (and for what it's worth, I'm not naive to the politics, I just don't like them)

So far I've heard no coach or team wanting to move because CP left. From my understanding it's not like he left to be DOC at Solar, if anything the move was as much to do with him not wanting to be a DOC and just be a coach. However, it's not like his move was a long time in the making and he had time to formulate an exit plan.

The idea that CP was grooming all these coaches isn't quite the reality that some would like to believe, there were just way too many teams for him to get around and see. So when I said earlier that most academy players wouldn't know who CP is, that was a true statement because there's was never enough time to visit every team. Think about it logically, he coached three teams, when exactly was he going to be able to get around and make an impact with these teams. Sure I have no doubt that parents that read this board would know who he was and definitely any of the 05 LP teams since he coached one but beyond that it seems like he wasn't that big of a factor. From the few 03 teams in LP I know most of them said they'd never heard of him before and only a couple of them said they'd ever seen him before.

CP is going to do well wherever he coaches, his record supports that, I just think sometimes folks tend to over analyze when coaches swap clubs without knowing much of the story.
