Is RASE 05 now a solar team?

So far I've heard no coach or team wanting to move because CP left. From my understanding it's not like he left to be DOC at Solar, if anything the move was as much to do with him not wanting to be a DOC and just be a coach. However, it's not like his move was a long time in the making and he had time to formulate an exit plan.

The idea that CP was grooming all these coaches isn't quite the reality that some would like to believe, there were just way too many teams for him to get around and see. So when I said earlier that most academy players wouldn't know who CP is, that was a true statement because there's was never enough time to visit every team. Think about it logically, he coached three teams, when exactly was he going to be able to get around and make an impact with these teams. Sure I have no doubt that parents that read this board would know who he was and definitely any of the 05 LP teams since he coached one but beyond that it seems like he wasn't that big of a factor. From the few 03 teams in LP I know most of them said they'd never heard of him before and only a couple of them said they'd ever seen him before.

CP is going to do well wherever he coaches, his record supports that, I just think sometimes folks tend to over analyze when coaches swap clubs without knowing much of the story.

That was the same thought process TFC had when AW left. Do you think they would like to go back and re-analyze the situation.

AW only coached a few teams at TFC, but the relationship he built with the individual coaches was strong. He was not even the DOC and he had major influence with other coaches within the club.

I second this. My DD decided to take a break from soccer and try other sports... but she played for Tahlon on both Hyypia and RASE and loves him to pieces!

In fact, the only time I have ever seen my daughter cry due to soccer was a few months into this past league season and Tahlon was no longer coaching due to the personal situation he was later cleared of. Anyhow, we were driving to a game and she was being very quiet (not normal for my DD)... I asked her what was wrong and she finally broke down, in tears, and said, "I miss Coach Tahlon."

The second time I saw her cry due to soccer was when I told her Coach Tahlon was back and she would be able to see him again at practice that night... only this time it was tears of joy!

I don't know if I would consider myself a LP supporter, I'm just not a hater or any club out there because from my experience they all have their good and bad sides to them.

I don't know a ton about the 05 RASE team but from the little I know I never got the feel that they were a CP team, he was mearly a stop gap. So beyond CP's 00 and 98 team I dont see any other team moving, heck I don't really think there would be many of the academy age kids that would even know who CP is or consider moving because of him. Definitely doesn't look like he's taking on an academy team at Solar.

I do have to say though, I'm a fan of his moving, it's made quite a few of these boards much more active.

Agree, but now you have to worry about other coaches moving their teams that are loyal to CP.

I do not think this is the end of the fall out. Example AW that left TFC the fallout has lasted a complete year and was fatal to TFC.

Heard Liverpool RASE 05, coached by Tahlon is staying put at Liverpool.  Chris has had a positive impact on this group thru the winter and spring and he will be missed.  Tahlon is an outstanding young academy coach that has been working closely with CP and LWfor many years and will continue to develop this group.

This would be my #1 fear if i were LP management.

Absolutely not true.

Nobody "groomed" LW and LW "groomed" TD. Nobody's loyalty went with CP. CP is a great coach, zero argument, but nobody was "groomed" by him.

Just trying to figure out if there is anything more disturbing that academy coaches discussing their grooming issues on the forum...

I know, that's why I had to keep using quotation marks on that word. Unless you're shampooing the family dog, it has some strange alternate uses.
