Been told Rush will not get into ECNL in Dallas. Was told it is based on location and DFW already has 1 too many clubs in ECNL already. It is more likely that one will be dropped.

Interesting thought actually. Do you have to reside within the region of the team you play on? Not that it would be all that practical.

Re: Will Dallas Rush have ECNL teams?
The true ECNL talent is diluted across the five teams. If there were one or two ECNL teams in NTX, imagine how phenomenal those teams would be.
But instead you have ECNL talent kids spread thin across all the teams with some good solid filler players, but each team is not as strong as it should be.

Same problem that everyone had with LHGCL expansions. It will continue, until someone starts an SECNL. The ECNL will replace clubs teams that go to SENCL, and keep going.

Liverpool, Andromeda, and now Rush saying the same thing. This is nothing new club and coaches saying just about anything, correction, they will say anything to get your money.

Rush has 30+ clubs in cities throughout the US, and only 3-4 of them play in ECNL. So it would not be out of the ordinary for one of their local clubs too not play in ECNL.

I heard that Rush is telling teams they have an in with ECNL and will be an ECNL club next year. If anyone is buying that, I have some oceanfront property for sale in Prosper!

No you don't..
Texans had an ECNL player who lives in Austion and FCD had an ECNL player who had to fly in from West Texas for games this past soccer year

They have an ECNL team. It is based in Houston and they will offer the Dallas players the opportunity to roster/play with them. No different than the Texans have done with their Austin teams for the past several years.
There's really nothing new here, just that some weren't aware that this has been happening for a while within other clubs.

Neither should care. Rush signed with Adidas starting this year.

Was told one DFW club was going to lose its ECNL status? Really? Do tell...

There is not even a rumor about when or especially who would be dropped.. But the "High-Ups" in the NTX ECNL Clubs have communicated to ECNL that we do have too many teams in NTX.
So we can only speculate at this point. Most may guess Feet, but I say at the moment with "Tradition" being a part of ECNL qualification, Feet are still steeped in it. 2 or 3 years from now, if things don't improve from the 99s down, then maybe.. Sting is a national brand who just won Top Girls Club in the Nation last year and just sent 3 teams to Nationals, so no... Texans are another national brand with sucess and the swoosh... FC Dallas is another national brand and are on an upswing on the girls side with the 98s and 99s... If they were making a decision today (AND THEY ARE NOT) it may be Solar.. But with the top 99 team and what looks like a very good 00 team, Solar looks to be on the rise on the girls side.
As far as who to add: OFC (Oklahoma) have been doing big things in every age group on the girls side and would give ECNL a team in OKC in addition to Tulsa.

Re: Will Dallas Rush have ECNL teams?
After about 5 minutes of poking around, I was able to find the current roster of Dallas Rush teams:
http://dallasrushsoccer.com/index.php/competitive
Spent about 10 more minutes locating where these teams will be playing this year. I see a '97 and an '01 team that will be playing in LHGCL D2 this year, a top 5 D1 '02 team, an '02 trying to qualify for LHGCL D3, and an '03 that will likely qualify for LHGCL, but isn't a lock for the D1 supergroup at U11. After that, it's a handful of PPL teams.
From where I'm sitting, Dallas Rush ECNL anytime in the near future doesn't pass the sniff test.

This makes no sense, NTX had 5 of 40 teams 3 or 4 years ago but now with ECNL at 76 teams 5 is too many? 3 years from now when ECNL is at 120 we should have fewer teams? ECNL wants to grow its about money. I'd be intrested as to which of the five teams thinks they should be the one to drop out. Of course any one of the Clubs would like to have the best 20 players on their team, but ask any club if they have too many teams in NTX and I bet they dont think so. The best of LHGCL Div 1 is equal to some of the lesser ECNL clubs outside of NTX.
