A better question could be does Rush even know yet?
Been told Rush will not get into ECNL in Dallas. Was told it is based on location and DFW already has 1 too many clubs in ECNL already. It is more likely that one will be dropped.
Was told one DFW club was going to lose its ECNL status? Really? Do tell...
There is not even a rumor about when or especially who would be dropped.. But the "High-Ups" in the NTX ECNL Clubs have communicated to ECNL that we do have too many teams in NTX.
So we can only speculate at this point. Most may guess Feet, but I say at the moment with "Tradition" being a part of ECNL qualification, Feet are still steeped in it. 2 or 3 years from now, if things don't improve from the 99s down, then maybe.. Sting is a national brand who just won Top Girls Club in the Nation last year and just sent 3 teams to Nationals, so no... Texans are another national brand with sucess and the swoosh... FC Dallas is another national brand and are on an upswing on the girls side with the 98s and 99s... If they were making a decision today (AND THEY ARE NOT) it may be Solar.. But with the top 99 team and what looks like a very good 00 team, Solar looks to be on the rise on the girls side.
As far as who to add: OFC (Oklahoma) have been doing big things in every age group on the girls side and would give ECNL a team in OKC in addition to Tulsa.
This makes no sense, NTX had 5 of 40 teams 3 or 4 years ago but now with ECNL at 76 teams 5 is too many? 3 years from now when ECNL is at 120 we should have fewer teams? ECNL wants to grow its about money. I'd be intrested as to which of the five teams thinks they should be the one to drop out. Of course any one of the Clubs would like to have the best 20 players on their team, but ask any club if they have too many teams in NTX and I bet they dont think so. The best of LHGCL Div 1 is equal to some of the lesser ECNL clubs outside of NTX.
