Re: LHGCL D1 Preseason Rankings!
Nothing against Chris P. but I wouldn't necessarily attribute this team finishing 3-9 to him. He has acquired an extremely talented team who had an excellent technical coach developing them the last few years. They lost a couple of good girls but have pretty much stayed in tact even with Gio's departure. I'd say if they finish anything LESS than top 10, it would be a serious lump to the new coach's rep. Again...I know nothing about him...but come on, he has gotten an already fantastic team to work with here.hombre wrote:1. DT Higg (added good striker to best team last year, will it work)
2. FCD Grubb (too reliant on one player, even if she is best in league)
3. DT South (good before and sounds like good recruiting summer)
4. Solar Red (had injuries last year, if the 03 SRSA kids play up, then move to 2)
5. Rush (neck and neck with DT South in past, will they keep pace)
6. Solar Pulp (new coach usually gets fresh energy out of kids)
7. Sting Rez (defense wins games, could finish as high as 4)
8. FCD Blue (can they keep the good momentum for spring and stay up?)
9. Andro (will fight relegation, rough and tumble team)
10. Feet (hard to see them stay up)
People posting seem to think Pulp will be a magical coach. That will be the interesting story line for me to watch. If Pulp finishes 3rd or higher, he will live up to the rep. 3 through 9 is pretty darn close.

If they somehow managed to finish LESS than top 10 in a 10-team division, I would certainly hope that would be a serious lump in the coach's rep...mommabear1 wrote: I'd say if they finish anything LESS than top 10, it would be a serious lump to the new coach's rep.

I mean if they don't stay in D1 . Is that better?

Chris Pulpaneck is a Great Coach, he was voted Coach of the Year last year from North Texas Soccer association. Do a little research for yourself. He Does have a magic wand.mommabear1 wrote:Nothing against Chris P. but I wouldn't necessarily attribute this team finishing 3-9 to him. That's great. All I'm saying is he shouldn't have to use too much of that "magic" for the team to do well. It was solid to begin with. I'm sure he is terrific and I'm super glad for the girls and families on that team to have landed another quality coach. I'll be cheering for the girls on this team...they have worked hard to get where they are.02soccerdad wrote:Chris Pulpaneck is a Great Coach, he was voted Coach of the Year last year from North Texas Soccer association. As of 8/24hardtruthsoldier123 wrote:Since NO games have been played yet, this is how I would rank them.
1. Andromeda
1. D'Feeters
1. Dallas Rush
1. Texans South
1. Dallas Texans
1. FCD Blue
1. FCD Prem
1. Solar Pulp
1. SRSA
1. Sting
If I were to go by scrimmages held within the last few weeks I would have to say SRSA (with the 03's) is better than all of these teams at this moment. Just ask Higgy.
1. FC Dallas 02 G Premier
1. Solar Chelsea 02G Red
3. Dallas Texans 02 Girls
4. Dallas Texans 02G STH
5. Sting 02G (Rezaie)
6. FC Dallas Youth 02G Blue
7. Solar Chelsea 02 Gio
8. D'Feeters 02
9. Andromeda FC 02G Red
9. Dallas Rush 02G Rush
