First - Congrats on winning LPD. Wolf has done a great job bringing this new group of girls together.Bow-Chicka-Wow Wow wrote:I agree with wolf.... Sting playing well and rising up. Barns may be new #2. Dalglish has been MIA playing boys. Where will they be in the mix now? Lfs #3. Dts #4. Dalglish, spirit, sting next 3 spots.
I like Barnes but we may have to pump the brakes a bit. Winning PLD may not be enough for the #2 spot bases on strength of schedule.
The Sting team LP Barnes beat in PLD was Sting Scarfone Blue but In Primetime lost to Sting Scarfone White (New team, I presume)???
The win over Scarfone Blue results may not merit any legit results and "Sting playing well and rising up" I dont see it base on results.
LP Barnes given the following may not help:
1.) Sting Blue played team in similar team ranking tier. No true high ranked team was beaten.
2.) Sting Blue tie against DTS will not count for or against either team.
STING BLUE SCARFONE - 2 vs. MUSTANGS FC '04 LOPEZ - 0
STING BLUE SCARFONE - 2 vs. SPARTA FC 04G RED - 0
STING BLUE SCARFONE - 0 vs. DALLAS TEXANS DT SOUTH 04 ADAMES - 0
Game expected for LP Barnes to win base on FBR opponents ranking:
LIVERPOOL LP BARNES 04G - 2 vs. STING WEST 04 (DAVIS) - 0
LIVERPOOL LP BARNES 04G - 4 vs. DALLAS RUSH 04G - DELEON - 0
TEXAS SPIRIT 04 - 3 vs. LIVERPOOL LP BARNES 04G - 2
STING BLUE SCARFONE - 0 vs. LIVERPOOL LP BARNES 04G - 1
Great Wins:
LIVERPOOL LP BARNES 04G - 2 vs. DALLAS TEXANS DT SOUTH 04 ADAMES - 0
LIVERPOOL LP BARNES 04G - 4 vs. LEFT FOOT STUDIO LFS 04G BLACK - 3 (Win will not count in FBR, ended in tie in regulation)
Primetime results:
LP Barnes - 3 vs. LFS White - 0
Loses that may hurt LP Barnes cause for #2 spot
LP Barnes - 1 vs. Sting Scarfone White - 2
LP Barnes - 0 vs. DT Scott - 2

Re: 04 Labor Day Tournament
If your dd plays for DTS, you really need to monitor what is being said to your daughters after the games...I understand coaches can get upset after games but that is no reason to belittle, berate and say the things to those girls that he says. There was nothing constructive, nothing positive coming out of his mouth only about how great of a coach he is and that he has plenty of other teams and doesn't need this team. I can only say this, if anyone talked to my dd this way I would definitely want to know about it.
Now, the girls that are on that team are great players and deserve to know that. We played them this weekend and they did beat us 2-0, those goals came from a straight corner (beautiful goal that curved in) and a free kick from about 25 yds out and right under the crossbar (another beautiful goal). There was no way to defend either one of those!! They dominated the game and their defense didn't give up many chances...I only hope that those girls don't let the words of the coach deter them from playing the game they love.

You have your answer with New FBR..Bow-Chicka-Wow Wow wrote:Thoes are great points you " son ofa pitch " make when it comes to FBR rankings. Barnes will likely not jump to number 2. It does seam that the more they play with the newly added Beiber Beiber Fever kids the better they get. Played way better this weekend then last tournent. So the scores show. I'm ready for several people to give their Top 5. Someone kick it off!!!

Re: 04 Labor Day Tournament
Looks like the Top 5 were proven this weekend. RASE and the 4 teams in the semifinals of the PLD tournament. When the same teams are in the Finals and semifinals in every tournament they play, I think the results speak for themselves.Bow-Chicka-Wow Wow wrote:Thoes are great points you " son ofa pitch " make when it comes to FBR rankings. Not that I disagree with the point you're making. There has to be consistency, not a one-off successful tournament. The new rankings show us as #4 (#5 when you include RASE) so we haven't moved which I think is correct. I think 2-10 can throw up a win for any team any given Sunday but Dalglish and LFS have both been winning for a long time so they deserve their spots after RASE.

"Do you have a brain?!" "If you aren't going to run you can do sprints on the sideline!" and yes, still during games, "kick it!" I was told a frog tog almost hit our players' bench after it had been thrown in anger from the opposing coach at one half time chat.

Re: 04 Labor Day Tournament
Spend 15 min at a Sting W match and you will have chapter 1 written. Couldn't believe what we heard this past weekend. How about "7 minutes into this game and you haven't done a single thing!!!!!!!", and the tone really enhanced it. Just one of many. Simply put, a real lack of motivation for 9 year olds. The Real Decoy wrote:If only there was a hidden camera on that side of the field for many of the "top" coaches out there.nomercy4u wrote:As you all can see, I do not post on here, I only read comments, enjoy a few laughs here and there and look over rankings. Re: 04 Labor Day Tournament
If the kid didn't move, take her out of the game and provide coaching and guidance instead of belittling the girl in his concert voice in front of 2 teams, parents, refs, and obervers. And if she wasn't moving, probably a good reason, like, because she plays for this coach and is unmotivated. Again, this was one of many, many occurrences, not a one time incident.Soccapeeps wrote:Maybe the 9 year old should do something instead of just standing around.
