Does anyone have the results of the D1 plano tourny

PT - 3 point scoring system (3 for win; 1 for tie; 0 for loss)
NASL - North American Scoring System -
               10 point scoring system (6 for win; 3 for tie; 1 for goals scored up to 3, 1 for shutout)
H2H - Head to Head play (uses 3 point scoring system)
GAS - Goals Against Score (NASL - GA = GAS)
GA - Goals Against
GF - Goals For (scored)
PEN - Penalties (1 for yellow, 2 for red)
GAPG - Goals Allowed Per Game (Matches Played / GA = GAPG)
GPG - Goals Per Game (Matches Played / GF = GPG)
Win% - Wins / (Matches played - ties)

Yep Plano really screwed this one up. You have 3 teams that won all of their games and none of the teams played each other. Select soccer is so screwed up why would Plano drop from 19 to 10 then have a placement tourney where there is no way to have a clear winner. This format would make sense if they had 4 spots. All the teams and the girls left it out on the field and 2 undefeated teams get left out

Did Kicks get the nod?

I support 10 teams per division to promote comparable competition but should not give 9 byes. 6 byes should be plenty. Hopefully this will change next year based on all the feedback.

The 2 teams that won all their games but did not advance should do well in D2 and be promoted to D1 after fall season. If they do not finish in top 2 and advance maybe they are not the right teams for D1 at this time. Hopefully they both make it. They certainly have incentive!

They should open it up to 12 this year then reduce it to 10 next year so that. 1. Its not such a drastic drop in teams and
2. it could fix the problem with not having a playoff and having definite winner.
3 It would allow for 6 byes for next year and you would have 4 spots rather than 16 teams trying for 1 spot. Then you could have the same type tourney and the winners of their brackets get the 4 other spots
4. The top 6 would get byes and the bottom 6 would have to re-qualify or go to div 2

That's why I'm a fan of goals allowed vs. goals scored. Goals scored can easily be skewed like this.

So what was the official outcome of who got in D1?

No those are just the teams that competed in the tournament. There are 10 teams in D1 10 teams in D2 and 10 teams in D3, just 5 teams didn't play in the tournament and were placed in D3.
