what kind of soccer is played

in the northeast? West? Midwest?
is there a differnt style being coached in these different areas in comparison to Texas soccer?
is there a difference or not? just curious since teams from northeast and midwest have to deal with cold weather often and from what i hear don't really get to practice year around.

I would assume a more injury free soccer. Less stress on the bones and proper time to let nagging injuries strengthen and heal without the fear of losing there spot.

In Cincinnati, Ohio my daughters played in CUSL league. One in U-12 and one in U-10. There are three seasons: Spring, Fall, and then Winter which is played in-doors. Spring and Fall seasons consist of 7 league games and 3-4 tournaments normally. There are normally 2 winter sessions each consisting of 6-8 games. Until I started following this forum, I thought soccer parents were pretty serious in Ohio. I guess you could say they are serious, but not like it appears to be in North Texas. One big difference is my U-12 daughter plays 8v8, while the U-10 plays 6v6 (Winter is 8v8 though). We are actually in the process of moving to Fort Worth/Keller area this weekend so hopefully we can somehow catch on with a team. Look out Texas. Here we come!

Welcome to the Lone Star State Bgilly. You are moving to a great place to live and play soccer. Signing day here in North Texas is July 1 so most rosters are full...but take heart, lots of teams leave a spot or two open for the right player. Hopefully you can land somewhere soon. This is a good forum to find teams looking for players.
