Can you explain why Sting North would be tier 3 when ranked 22? I don't get you exception note.

Seems like a lot of girls looking around trying to figure out where they want to be before select rolls around ( or parents ). So I would expect the rankings to shuffle around a bit more before everyone settles on where they want to be.

Rather than rehash the ranking tier explanation again, I sent you a PM with the full explanation of the FBR calculation.

Bottom line, assignment to ranking tiers is based solely on game performance (who have you beaten vs. who have you lost to vs. who have you tied) and is independent of the actual ranking calculation. Keep in mind that it is far more important what ranking tier a team's OPPONENTS are assigned to, than what tier that team is assigned to.

Sting North is in Tier 3 because they have not beaten or tied any teams from Tier 1 or Tier 2 (0-4 total).

At what point do girls start "walking alone" over to a club that can offer ECNL? At this age, I know its not at the front of peoples mind, but that has to be a driving force around the age of 12ish, right?

I'm sure a true historian such as bw could provide more intel, but what I saw is lp kinda thins out after u12 and solar along with sting with a few texans, d'feeters, and spirit pick up....especially sting and solar.

It'll be U12. I would guess Solar or FCD already has an eye on RASE.

For the '03s there were "a lot of girls looking around trying to figure out where they want to be" all the way up until signing day.  If the '03s were a typical group then don't expect movement of players to "settle down."  More of the opposite was true - things really seemed to pick up pace when the spring season ended.  May and June were very busy and many teams and families were shopping around.  It felt a lot like college football recruiting with national signing day at the end.

At the same time, even with the player movement, there was not a huge change in rankings.  Gophers has referenced that the majority of the teams that will make LHGCL D1 are already top 25 teams in the FBR.
