Liberty FC 99’- We have two roster spots open that we are looking to fill! Unfortunately, two of our players had to drop out due to being over-committed in too many areas.  This means we are in need to a center back and a keeper. Our team is Christian-based, and we are looking for players and families that can be on board with our goals as we grow as soccer players and people. We won our league this fall in Plano Premier League Division I.  after finishing almost last two years ago in Plano D2. Our long term goals include moving into the Lake Highlands League next season in order to give our players opportunities to be looked at by college recruits.

CENTER BACK- Our team plays with a flat back four. We are looking for a player with good defensive instincts and the ability to lead a defense. They should be able to help direct their teammates VERBALLY, and take ownership of the defense. Experience in this position is preferred, but many players with good defensive instincts can be taught this system if they have previously played in a sweeper-stopper defensive system.

KEEPER/DEFENDER- Ideally we would like a goal keeper that could play half of the game in the goal and half of the game on the field, but this is not absolutely necessary. We will encourage competition between the keepers to push each other to perform to their maximum potential. The keeper should be able to guide and instruct the defense. They should be aggressive and verbal.

Keeper/Defender- Liberty FC is looking for a player that can play in the goal and on the field. We are seeking to have two keepers on the team so that they can be instrumental in training each other during practice and push each other in skills sessions with a keeper trainer once a week. A keeper must love the opportunity to make big saves and have the ability to stay focused even in a game where they are not making saves constantly. We would like to be able to use the keepers on the field in the half that they will not be playing. It will be most beneficial to the keeper to play on the defense so they know how the defense is supposed to be run. They are better able to connect with the defenders if they play on the line at times. That being said, playing defender is not an absolute requirement, but it is very much preferred.

   "Faith, family and friendship"     We started practice this week.  We still have 2 spots open.  If you are free, come and check us out.  We are having a ball of a good time. Girls are having fun and there is no drama whatsoever.

PS.  We are playing in a tournament in February.
