Yeah I didn't get to watch the whole game as I had a honey do list waiting at home and Ice Cream promised to the DD which was eating at her, but the minutes I watched it was a very even match with opportunities for both teams.

Way to go DT Scott! Shout out from the SOUTH SIDE!!! Way to represent the Texans!

I agree completely, very tough team and very under ranked. I look for them to be on the move up.

Bracket A in the gold division was one if the most evenly matched I have ever seen. 3 teams finished tied with 17 points. Great soccer all weekend.

who ended up playing GK for LP Owen?

I agree.  SRFC, Mustangs and LP Owen all tied each other 1-1.  Tie breaker was who had most shutouts (LP Owen had 1).  Great showing by SRFC and the Mustangs...has to be tough to not lose a game all weekend and not advance.

Yea, seemed like DT Scott maxed out with players for the tournament. Were there any guess players?

I believe both teams had guest players. I believe they may have both been 05's too.

In Platinum, Dalglish runs away with victory this weekend!

Though we are not in that bracket, I still find that funny.

No disrespect, but it seems TX Spirit North is a bit overrated for their FBR ranking spot. Though in a tough pool, no goals were scored.

After the 2pm game, DD wanted to watch the last half of the Mustangs-SRFC game knowing we needed them to tie to advance on a tiebreaker. The scenarios I was able to figure out was:

Mustangs or SRFC win - winner advances on points
0-0 tie - Owen advances on the 4th tiebreak, goals allowed
1-1 tie - Owen advances on shutouts
2-2 or greater tie - Owen out on points, Mustangs advance on 3rd tiebreak, goal differential

Crazy stuff. Was watching it with a Mustang parent with my DD, several hold your breath the entire game while hoping for a tie, also needing to settle DD down so not to be embarrassed in front of Mustang friend.

1 more or less goal at any time during the tourney by any team would have changed the outcome entirely. Would normally say that a semifinal would have been more fair, but tiebreaks would still have to be used and a team left out.

tough bracket, just ask Rush Deleon. Good showing by the Rush ladies. Very proud of them. The Owen bunch were a better team in my opinion. I think the right team advanced.

Just noticed that LP Owen posted that they are looking for a couple guest players for next tournament. Looked like they had 16-17 girls on the sidelines this past weekend...wonder how many of them were guest players...

2 from other teams in our area we wanted to look at to consider for the team. Just like any team, looking to improve our roster before July!

Don't know about the number, but definitely have size (and speed), looked like middle schoolers out there..lol Tough tough team. Them having to play only one game per day (except the final) may have made it tougher on the opposition in bracket play, but don't think it would have affected the final results IMO. Others may beg to differ on that.

I know we only speak of the Platinum and Gold divisions, but the Bronze had a pretty good matchup for the Championship. Gunners vs. Sting East Boyles. Both coming in with 3 shutouts - Sting got one more for the win. Great game with the winning goal scored in the last 5 minutes. Hats off to both teams for a great showdown.

No disrespect taken. Based on this past weekend's results, you are probably correct and that should be reflected in the forthcoming FBR. So I don't have go back trolling through previous postings, your team affiliation is?

I rather not say, but who knows, our daughters may play on the same team come select. Best not to burn bridges.
