What the Heck.. Why Not.

1.) LP ’04 RASE - De-facto.  They’re a few that still doubt because of lack of games against girls.  But still the team to beat.  Nothing is showing they are slowing down.  Currently second in TBPL @ 5-1-1 and 1st in PTCL 11v11 Boys Division.

2.) TX Spirit ’04 Clark - Playing good soccer at this point.  Will this continue when playing other top teams. Nothing saying they wont. 1st in SDL Platinum @ 5-0.

3.) LP ’04 Dalglish - Losing to LFS and DT Scott once dont merit then being below them.  Looking better on the Pitch these days.  1st in TGPL @ 6-0 Gold and PTCL Gold.

4.) LFS ’04 Black - Running through competition in SDL1.  Can easily be at #2 or #3 spot.  1st in SDL1.

5.) DT ’04 Scott - Losing big recently move them down a bit.  Can they find a way to bounce back?  Still a physical team.  Not sure if recent losses (players) will effect their ranking going forward.

6.) Sting ‘ 04 Scarfone - Seems they have DT South number.  They can’t seem to beat them but they are sure not losing to them.  Keeping them at #6 because of this.  Need to find a way to score.

7.) DT ’04 South - Still a good team, but lately finding trouble finding back of net.  Maybe an issue as defense are getting better but don’t sleep on them.  

8.) Sting ’04 Chacon - Been quiet this spring, but still a good team.  May struggle to stay in top 10 as tournament season begins.

9.) Odyssey ’04 - Dark horse. This team is not far being top 7.  Move ball well but missing that scorer.  Loss a few close games in TGPL Gold and PTCL Gold.

10.) Solar ’04 Abbott - Team still inconsistent but show flashes they can get it done.  I believe it will happen. May also struggle to stay in top 10

Honorable Mention - Mustangs '04 Black


Just my opinion for conversation purposes.

Don't count FCD premier out. They have battled coaching changes but will be back in the mix soon. Just need to be consistent

Well done son of a pitch! I always did like you..... I agree 90% with you rankings. Probably put DTS over Scarfone. Might swap Dalglish and LFS black, but certainly would not care either way. Both very close. Can't wait to see TSN play some other top teams.

I can agree with about 80%, or basically the top 8, after that it's a toss up down to #20. My ears perk up when I see TSN. Did you mean to say TSN or just TS?

I'd switch LFS and Dalglish, then move both DTS and Chacon above Scarfone. Outside the top 7, I would agree with KnK, extremely close and too difficult to call to about the top 17-18.

What about the Vipers? They usually take a run at stealing key top players just before select and infuse them with the home schooled "international group" they have north of Denton. The teams rarely make, but their concept is compelling...

Yes, Dalglish should be ranked even higher.  However, FCD Premier has two wins and a tie against Solar Abbott, 3 straight wins against Odyssey, dominated a game that ended in a tie with the Mustangs and lost 0-1 on a penalty kick to Sting Scarfone.  So I don't think there is much of a case for ranking Solar, Odyssey or Mustangs over FCD Premier.  FCD has not played Sting Chacon, so you could probably make an argument that Chacon should be ranked higher.

LP did beat FCD and i have them ranked higher. I am basing my rankings on actual games i have been in person. The good thing about human rankings is the human (emotional) element to it!   

Thoughts on a few -

Mustangs Black - will they maintain after the 05 twins leave

LFS - Will they remain LFS or will DFeeters force their way into this team?

Sting Scarfone - Isn't he one foot out the door anyway?

Dallas Rush Mbemba - If Mbemba stays with them. Look out! Highly skilled team.

Sting Deleon - Why did he leave Rush? Will continue to lose players.

Cosmos - Don't sleep on Todd Wallace. Look at his 03s this year.

Mustangs Paris - solid team, but lacks any kind of numbers.

Rumor - May be a new Jimmy Spence 04 by this Summer. Will he still be with the Mustangs at this point or will Liverpool finally get him.

I understand your argument but the rankings should really be about consistency across the board against the top 20 opposition. For instance, Solar has beaten Odyssey in the previous 5 games, tied lost and won against DT South in the previous 3 and beaten Sting Scarfone in the previous 2 but many on here rank Sting in the top 7 and have put Odyssey above Solar. Solar however have struggled against FCD Premier so perhaps it comes down to individual teams having bogey teams so to speak who they find it hard to play against. As a coach I'm not going to rank the teams other than RASE at #1 and my own team Solar, probably at the #8 spot. On any given day, I'd say teams 2 through 5 show more consistency but 2-12 can throw curveballs on a bad bounce, bad call or missed opportunities.
