Women's Professional Soccer Team in Dallas

Like most parents, whether it be athletics, academics, or something else, we want the best for our kids now and in the future.  All of us parents want to see our sons and (in here) our daughters do their best.  We want to help fuel their dreams.  If your daughter loves soccer and wants to be a professional soccer player, it's difficult but not as impossible as it was when we were younger.  We now have 9 NWSL teams, with the closest in Houston.

Sydney Leroux, who plays on both the USWNT as well as the Seattle Reign (NWSL) posted this tweet regarding an article that was written in the NY Times about women's professional soccer.

So the question is, do we as parents and do your daughters want a professional women's soccer team here in Dallas to root on during the year, like so many do with FC Dallas?  Now is your chance to hopefully help the cause.

The FC Dallas U-23 ECNL team will face the Houston Dash in a friendly at Roffino Stadium in Dallas, TX.  Tickets are only $10.  If we all can get a great turnout, then perhaps just like the owners of the Houston Dynamo who asked their fans if they wanted a women's professional team (and successfully established the Houston Dash), FC Dallas or another Dallas club can put together the 10th NWSL team.  To get your tickets, go here.  So don't think of it as FCD, but as a chance to see some stars play the game they love, as much as your daughter does.

So whether its you don't want Houston to outshine Dallas, you want to see your daughter-niece-cousin-sister have a chance to play professional soccer in the States, or are a big fan of soccer, get your tickets and let's see what the City of Dallas can do to bring Women's Professional Soccer here!  To see stars like Abby Wambach, Hope Solo, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Sydney Leroux, Samantha Kerr, Carli Lloyd, Whitney Engen and more.

I took the time to write this because I think every girl out there should have the opportunity to play professional soccer if they can.  Although I know a few coaches and players on the FC Dallas club, I am not affiliated with them - but I do approve my message.   

I'm sold. Lets do it!

 

Roffino Stadium is at Bishop Lynch High School. Near Buckner and Ferguson in East Dallas. Coach Waldrum v Coach Waldrum. It should be a fun game to watch. Come on out ...

The Houston Dash will play a friendly match against the FC Dallas Elite Clubs National League Under-23 women’s team on Saturday, June 21 at Roffino Stadium in Dallas, it was announced today. The match will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT.

Uhhh yah, that was pretty stupid not to put the WHEN in there, but Geno helped me out with that. It's this weekend: 06/21 at 7:30pm CST

I like the fact that this page has been viewed 1100 times (some I know are multiple views by one person) and over 100 people have voted; 95 saying "YES".

We are in for this, gonna see about bringing more of the club to watch.

Great to hear! Someone will have to answer this on the FC Dallas side or whoever is handling the tickets - but heard a rumor that over 1000 tickets have been sold. Only a few more days until the game! Thanks to all!

Excited about the game tonight and looking forward to promoting the women's game at the highest level.

Over 1700 tickets are out and expecting good numbers in walkup crowd.  

Tonight is about growing the women's game in what is considered one of the hotbeds of youth soccer because at the end of the day we are all in this area under the umbrella of NTX youth soccer.
