I'm not able to find anything about TV Broadcasting anywhere.

They are on tonight on DirecTV channel 289 at 8pm

Ok, maybe I'm wrong but I just went online to record with Directv and 289 is Disney Jr?!?!?

Looking at the website I can't find anything about any of the games being televised... maybe some will be picked up by the local sports channels... we shall see.

The league will announce a TV deal soon, according to NWSL executive director Cheryl Bailey. The regular season runs April 13 through July 31, and fans can view live streaming and archived games on YouTube. Bailey, the former GM of the U.S. national team from 2007-11, says the NWSL is in the final stages of landing a major apparel sponsor to help promote the league. The eight teams will market to their communities, hoping to draw fans to the mostly weekend games and create what Bailey calls "a sustainable league, one that puts down great roots this year.''

U.S. Soccer will pay three American national players on each team more than $30,000, and the Canada and Mexico federation will pay its two national players on each team negotiated salaries. That covers about a five-month period with training camp and 22 games through July.

Wouldn't the easiest solution to a women's league simply be linking them with the MLS teams. This would mimic professional womens teams in every other country. If it works there why wouldn't it work here? Soccer fan base already in place.

I agree and FCD would have a great fan base with the popularity of girls soccer in this area. I know I would get season passes for a women MLS team.

Thought I would revive this topic... Fox Soccer channel will now be showing some NWSL games beginning this Sunday. Seattle Reign FC vs. Washington Spirit at 7:30 p.m. CT.

When is Fox Soccer Channel going off the air? Last I heard was that Fox Soccer was going to become FXX channel that plays similar content to the FX channel.

Fox Sports has been advertising something about a 'new' network starting on Aug 17th I believe. I've not heard that Fox Soccer is going off air. That would be very sad.

Just FYI, Here is what will become of FOX Soccer Channel in September after NBC Sports takes over the EPL rights.. (and I guess everything else)... Rest in Peace Fox Soccer... you served me well...

On Sept. 2 The Fox Soccer Channel will change its name to FXX and become a sister channel to FX and FXM targeting adults 18-34.

New episodes of former FX series such as “Legit,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “The League” will begin airing on the newly rebranded channel starting next fall.......

So after Sept 2nd we'll have to surf between NBC, ESPN and maybe FXX to get games here and there...but not one channel that is 24/7 soccer. I hate can't watch ESPN long b/c so much of their content I'm not interested in...world poker championships, baseball, etc.

I think the NBC Sports channel and BeIn will be the places to go... but you are right.. it does sound like you will need to jump around a bit....

In the meantime, the American league ought to be able to take advantage of the rising tide. Come 2013-14, more E.P.L. matches, more M.L.S. matches, and more programming associated with both leagues (with better production values, one assumes, than the endearingly unslick in-studio programming found on Fox Soccer Channel), not to mention U.E.F.A. Champions League soccer on the newly created Fox Sports One, will be available to the American viewer. Those who aren't seeking out soccer will be exposed to it on sports channels all across the dial.

Don't know what my DD will do for TV entertainment now. I suppose she'll rewatch recordings of the weekends EPL games 10 times instead of spreading it out between EPL, UEFA, etc..

Sure hope one of these networks resurrects the Fox Soccer Report or Soccer News. I think the production value could be higher, but I love a daily show featuring all the news of the day from around the soccer world.

I heard ESPN will start airing a daily soccer show called ESPN FC. Not sure when it debuts, but I thought I heard it would be on 6 days a week.

ESPN FC daily show airs August 11th, but only a 1/2 hour show. At least it's something.

Did anyone watch the Seattle vs Washington game? We had a hard time seeing the action due to what I assumed was limited cameras in the right positions? Maybe the press box was not high enough for decent coverage, I don't know...but those angles into the sun were really hard to see.

It was like someone had a freaking camcorder in the stands and streaming. That's all I could think about was the angle of play. If they don't get that together I'll never watch again.
