For the most part, there will be 5 team brackets. Platinum/Gold/Silver/Bronze. If there isn't a multiple of 5 for the total # teams in an age group, some of the lower brackets (Silver/Bronze), may have a different # of teams and a slightly different playing format (i.e. 4 team crossover brackets, or 6/7 team brackets where you just play 4 other teams in the bracket). TuT does not give out any trophies/medals for "winning" a bracket.
TD's discretion at how brackets are set up. Teams request what level they want to play in when they register, and TD will take this into account, along with whatever he decides to use (past performance, DOC/Coach recommendations, etc.).
There may be more than 1 bracket in a particular level (Platinum, Gold, etc...). Sometimes, there will clearly be an "A" or "B" within the level - i.e. Platinum "A" with the consensus top 5 teams and Platinum "B" with consensus 6-10. Sometimes, the brackets within the level will be essentially equally balanced (i.e. Top 10 teams in 2 Platinum brackets, but somewhat evenly distributed by strength between the 2 brackets). It depends on who signed up, who requested what, and what the TD feels is the best way to form the brackets.
From past experience, Jesse does a pretty good job at putting together competitive brackets, and King TuT is usually a well run tournament.
About the only complaints you will usually hear about King TuT or Michael Brown are the $5/day parking charges, and (especially for King TuT) not being able to put stakes in the ground to hold down shade tents.

NTX did penalize Elite and even more so, Premier for not playing any tune up. Not that it will end up mattering. No 1 and 2 in CL now.PurplePonyPower wrote:Tx Spirit ranked #1. Remember those days?

What they did to Elite is a warning to all the teams playing this year that it could happen to you if you don't play. Interested to see if any of the top teams don't sign up this year.

LH never looked at FBR, but amazingly, with a few exceptions, ranked teams almost entirely consistent with the FBR.
So whomever is preparing the 05 FBR - you better have it together.
(Or better still, don't publish the FBR any more and watch the panic set in over at LH.)

I agree with you. Who cares what a team did for the last 2 years. If you don't play in one of those two tournaments before seeding you get what you deserve, right? Like you said it's miraculous they even got the #2 seed.
