LIVERPOOL 05 GARRARD AND FOWLER

How good are these two teams?

Gerrard is right in that 8-13 ranked team right now and I'd say that's fairly accurate. Good coach from what I've heard from parents of her old 96's (can't remember if that's is the right age group or not but needless to say they are all done and off in college now). I've watched them play only once and that was a few months ago in an 04 tournament. Seemed like a solid team but I'm not really sure what you can tell from watching one game but I can say they more than held their own.

Someone else might have to answer about Fowler because I haven't watched them play yet but I'm sure over the next few months I'll catch them in some tournament.

The last ranking kinda gives you a good perspective on how good these teams are.

Gerrard has a very good team all around. Fowler has a good team of girls that need some more playing time together.

Anyone know anything about FCD Erwin?

The FBR rankings only tell you how competitive these teams are.

How good a team is, is a matter of interpretation.  Do you consider a team good simply because they win a lot, or do you consider a team good because they play an appealing brand of soccer, and the coach is clearly developing his/her players?

The teams in referenced in this post may be "good" teams, but you can't tell that from simply looking at where they are in the FBR rankings.  You have to put your eyes on them, or get feedback from someone you trust who has put eyes on them.

Just coming together. Brent has a good history as a SMU coach, and now FCD pro team asst. Mix that with the machine that is FCD and he will certainly bring them along nicely. Just a matter of time for the premiere team.
