Plano Labor Day 06G Accepted List

I gotta be honest. I'm a little disappointed in the lack of out of area teams participating. I was expecting more out of town teams to join in on the fun.

Does your U9 team travel to Socal, Vegas, Disney???

Maybe if more of us did, they would. They are just U9 though.

Totally get that. Was just hoping to see at least more STX, OK, and AR teams come in. Maybe next year.

Where is Kicks North?  They were 2nd the last tournament.  Looked like Kicks best team.

Because Selacao and JM have borrowed so many North players for the tourney that there aren't enough North players to field their own team.

Call my comment stupid all you want. Taking bets now, there will be at least four North players playing for either Selacao or JM. You aren't going to see all three teams play in a tourney, not in the same division at least.

Kicks does share some players and move them around a bit.  Its academy thats the way it works though.  As long as they are rostered on only one team and only actually play on that one team in that tourney then its all good.

Wow! Maybe you should actually research what it is you are speaking about before you post, as it is now you don't seem real bright.
2 out of the 12/13 girls play on selecao, the rest are for the most part kicks north.

How will these teams be sliced?  15 gold and 15 silver?

I agree with u cobra. U are starting a better conversation than some bitter folks trying to stir controversy. There should be Gold, silver A and silver B. I have no idea on how they break them though.

10 gold teams would leave some good ones off.

It looks like last year they only had a Gold and one Silver division for U9. Gold had 12 teams, 3 brackets. Silver had 20 teams, 5 brackets. Maybe a 12/18 Gold/Silver split this year?

DTS needs to be in there, imo.

DTS normally has a strong group, just haven't seen it at the 06 age group.

So they do have enough for 3 full teams, since his comment was so funny and such bad info?  Seems like Kicks JM, while still a good team, has not played quite as strong in tourneys when Selecao is also playing in the same tourney.  Looks like North can help out as well.
It is academy, and all good for "development", but don't take offense to people pointing it out.

This is easily the best collection of 06 teams we have seen to date.

I took a stab at potential seeding and brackets based off Bo's 6/23 FBR and summer tourney results of the teams listed for potential gold bracket.  Not trying to stir anything...I was personally curious.  Regardless, should be best 06 tourney to date:

Tulsa induced the best NTX 06 teams to register in this tourney. Is Tulsa bringing an adroit lineup to shut us up?

9 of the top 10 from Bo's FBR ranking...should be quite the death march for the girls.

My question is how much emphasis does Plano TD put on which flight you want to play? I could easily see 16 or more teams asking for gold.

Another question for those who have been here before; how soon will we see brackets posted? It would be nice to see where my u9 boy plays at relative to the sister team.

I would not expect to see brackets posted before early next week. They may get done by the end of the weekend, but I doubt it.
And I doubt you're going to find 16 coaches willing to sign up for the Gold bracket.

Probably true...I'd rather have my son or daughter come down and lose some tough games than run through a bracket & collect a trophy that they didn't have to work for.

Should be fun group of games to watch, regardless of how many teams wind up in top flight.
