Just got in my last barometric pressure calculations and tidal volume predictions. Those are key to making quality picks and may delay my input in future weeks.....those and a good dart!!! LOL Cool

Certainly seems to solidify Premier's position over Elite.

Also looks more and more like maybe Elite WAS dodging the competition by playing the boys.

The reality is that as the girls have gotten older, there is greater parity among the top teams. I still wouldn't bet against Elite vs any of the other 04s. At the same time, I believe they can be beat on any given day by any of the top 04 teams. Da Feet proved this in a convincing way. I was surprised Elite gave up a goal to Angell - not sure how it happened but wouldn't be surprised if it was off of a penalty kick.

As for Premier, they are definitely in the Top 5, but don't forget they lost to DT Scott at PLD. Again, it speaks to the parity of the top 5 - 10 teams. Some are stronger than others but on any given day, a top team can be beat.

Go is always on here preaching the LHGCL standings - and they have Premier first.

(Gotsoccer also has Premier ahead of Elite.)

Just looking at recent games against the same competition - Premier scored more against Angell, AND did not allow Angell to score. (and no, it was not off a pk)

Since league play had started, Elite is 6-1-0 with 4 goals against. Premier is 7-1-1 with 2 goals against.

Sure, Premier lost to Scott, but Scott also beat D'Feet, who beat Elite.

I guess we will know for sure when they play each other (as long as they don't decide to have an ice cream social), but I am not counting out Premier.

You are absolutely right Peak. Some teams are a little stronger than others but on any given day they all can be beat. Shoot, Scott almost gave up a loss to Red to the tune of about 30 seconds and settled with a draw. This top division is very competitive accross the board for the most part.
