03 Solar Rush (Nero) Guess players - Club Pass

You never spoke to either player because they are my players and I took them both to the game and they came and left with me. Those who know my handle know what team they play for. That's all I'll say. They deserved the experience of playing in Classic d-2 and I'm grateful that they were given a chance to play at that level. Triumph is a great team they played well. All I ask is that you please not say that my players lied about playing on 03 Elite because they did not say that. They are just two great kids who wanted to see if they were ready to play at the next level.

We asked as we were shaking hands. Who you play for....Elite was the answer

Sounds like a simple misunderstanding. As we walked out of the complex they were asked by a few parents who they played for and they were both a bit shy but answered truthfully. You guys have a great team Triumph. Good luck to you guys this coming spring!

Must have been. I have no issues with the girls and they played great. They are a credit to you and your LP team. Good luck to you too

So, either they play in PPL or are 04's. Either way, they were playing up. Exactly what CPP should be used for. I now see why Triumph backtracked. And its awesome they were playing up and scored a goal. Sounds like the development should continue.

And let's say that's a high scoring PPL team that played in LHGCL  last year (02s)
And that 03 scored Saturday for Barnes
It that development? Maybe but I doubt it.

For as long as I have known Triumph, he has always been a stickler for his principles. He will do this to the detriment of a winning result in order to enforce a rule. An example of this may be being late to a practice, missing a practice, grades, etc. He won't start, or even significantly reduce, his best player(s) time because one or more of his rules have been broken.

Like I said, this may be at the cost of the game, but I think he is more concerned with preparing them for life than getting the win.

In this past game, I don't think his best players started for some reason; I don't know why.

I think he believes that everyone should be following his high ideals and is disappointed with teams and organizations that don't.

It's just a guess, but knowing him like I do, I think that is why he is upset.

Triumph is in jeopardy of being relegated just like Barnes, correct??

While anything can happen in the spring, especially dealing with less that great weather. That said my money would be on Triumph staying in D2. Goal differential is a decent indication they are on a better trajectory than the bottom two...and maybe their defense will keep them in the group.

This idiot lost me when he tried to throw a team and club under the bus without any thought behind his stupidity. Especially when he said "the players told me where they were from". Hahahahaha.

My daughter does not play for Triumph FC. Instead, I am an acquaintance of the coach and have had numerous discussions with him regarding soccer and specifically NT soccer. His passion for the game, from the perspective of teaching the beautiful game to our youth is exemplary. His intentions are pure and he has the true spirit of the game within him. Unlike the supporters of LH CPP rule in its current form, this man is trying earnestly to make the soccer experience better for our youth.

We can all do better in thinking through our actions and statements made on this form but what this man is doing for the game and NT soccer in general is righteous.

We need more like him.

What exactly is he doing that is righteous? He basically came on here and blasted a coach, players and club of in his mind for cheating or being dishonest all in the name of trying to avoid relegation. He did so because his team didn't get the result he wanted, he didn't give two squirts about development, he was pissed he didn't get the win he thought was his right. So far in this case (not the case of the SRSA players playing down, if that's what actually happened) it sounds like the CPP was used EXACTLY the way it was intended, to give players at a lower level an opportunity to play up as a chance to develop. Do I think the CPP rule needs to be tweaked, yes, but this would not be a scenario that needs to be corrected. This scenario should be held up as the example of how and why it should be used.

I think you can tell quite a bit about a person based on who is defending the guy. I don't think anyone in the 03 group would probably call C&R as a character witness.

well, i have heard good things about him too and i will agree CR is not the best character witness but CPP is a joke and i will forgive people who call it out. I think this coach(and all coaches) would be better served coaching and leaving the forum nonsense to crazy parents....

1. I wasn't defending him. I was simply stating about what I know of the man and how he probably ascribed his ideology to the situation he recently faced.

2. I'm not bothering with the age group forums much anymore as I have noticed a trend in the type of conversations had throughout the forums as the girls get older. As of now, I'd rather relegate the majority of my discussions to the general discussion threads. These are usually more conducive to enlightening conversation rather than the Ad hominem attacks perpetuated by a group of schadenfreudes.

Mental note, had I thought about having either of my DD's play for Triumph, this post changed my mind. Granted people get on here and talk about others like 5 yr olds all the time but I would expect a coach to refrain from joining in.

To whine about losing to a team that used CPP is a lot different than to bash a manager of an opposing team.

Even after said manager calls you an idiot?! I can't fault him for defending himself after being verbally bashed. I do believe he should have gathered ALL of the pertinent information before coming on this forum to discus what happened. It appears that after the facts were discovered, the coach had no issue with what happened. It sounds like in this rare instance, CPP was actually used as it was intended. I believe that if the coach would've done a little research before his rant or if Barnes had got the same result with their everyday roster, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Yep. That's why 8 of the 12 players followed my daughter over to the new team/club we landed at.   Get your facts straight again and stop asking your players for what the rumor is. You keep talking on here and your hole digs deeper.

At least using CPP as an excuse is consistent.
