Youth Soccer Changes

We are moving to Washington State and the current focus of conversation on their soccer forum is expected changes coming to youth soccer driven by Jurgen Klinsmann and the National Team formatting.  They are adding Boys' Developmental Academy for U12 for Fall of 2016.  Will ECNL follow suit?

Some of the Washington leagues at the older ages are starting to transition to Birth Year age groups too to line up with the National Team format.  Most people there think that is dumb because people want to play with grade level groups and colleges recruit for a school year-aged team.  Has anyone heard about changes coming to North Texas?  It seems silly to me to align thousands of soccer players by birth year for the few who may be pursuing National level teams and professional sports.  Here are some articles they referenced.

its been  happening already in the last 5 years. Jurnen needs to take a tour of Texas.  I feel its just those up in USSOCCER trying to get the credit for something already going on. Just my 5cents.
