DT Scott and LP Elite probably don't care about having to play each other as they surely would have met somewhere down the line in this one. I can't imagine what the poor Southlake team is thinking right now. They must have pissed off someone at the tournament.

To add on to the shocking set up of these brackets you have an '05 team that could very possibly get out of their bracket. If the '05 team wanted to play some better competition the TD should have thrown them in Bracket A.

You do realize that that "poor Southlake team" is a LH D3 team right?

That "poor Southlake team" is a good team. I'm not saying that they will upset Elite or Scott...but a team with nothing to lose can be a dangerous team. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the LH D3 Teams (GSSC, SRFC, Aztecs) pull off an upset or two against some of the D1 teams.

Poor as in getting thrown in a group with Elite and Scott - not poor as in poor quality.

They are a good team and could have had a legitimate shot at advancing in any other bracket without having to pull off monumental upsets.

You would've thought LW would have had a little more pull and gotten either Redknapp or Owen play in the LP tournament. It's too bad Premier can't play. Curious to see what happens when invites go out to the NTX teams for SuperCopa if teams like D'Feeters, Premier and Spirit are overlooked for not playing in the U90C.

since this is a qualifier it seems as though they would make the 05 team qualify with the 04's or I guess if the win the tournament they can play the 04's otherwise they should be out of the supercopa.

I am hearing the same. 3 of the top teams will be put in the same bracket. Here is a sweet idea. Put DTS in there too for the perfect bracket.

If this is true the TD has to be clueless and doesn't hold much hope for the quality of the supercopa. But I guess at the end of the day you play who they put in front of you

FCD Premier is not playing. FC Premier is. 1 letter makes a difference.

My understanding is that the goal of tournament bracketing is to make it most likely that the top teams make the playoffs.

U90C has made it 100% impossible for that to happen.

Not likely we will see U90C back to defend this cow manure.

Is the scheduler for this tournament not from North Texas? Or is he a local guy? I couldn't find any names on the U90 website. Good chance only one team comes out of this bracket into the playoff round. With scheduler like this I would think twice if I was team coming from California. He/she may put you all in the same bracket.

Not much scoring will be happening in Bracket A between the top 3, so I can assume no Wildcard out of this group.

I sat back and thought about something. Maybe, just maybe the TD is a genius. He's sitting back smoking cubans, rubbing his stomach and reading how he has shaken/taken the core(soul) of parents. His diabolical plan is working well when all along he going to award automatic invites to the top 3 points finishers in Bracket A.. What a great cynical plan!! Twisted Evil

Even if the scheduler had no idea of the local teams, and used gotsoccer rankings -

(region 3 rank to include OK)

Bracket A - 1, 3, 6, 31
Bracket B - 5, 14, 15, 57
Bracket C - 9, 44, 124 and an '05 team

At least I could get a good chuckle this morning -
