But see that's just it. You say "I wouldn't put something so offensive". Then don't. But what makes you think you should get to decide what others do? If you are that worried about your kid then you shouldn't be letting her on the internet to "find" things without you. She will "find" way worse things than someone's avatar. So the next time you get the urge to tell grownups what to do, don't. We aren't your daughter and we don't live our lives by your rules. My DD doesn't get on this forum. The reason that Texas has sex trade that it has is because of people like you who don't care. If that was your DD posing like that would you make the same comments?

As someone who has worked to stop human trafficking... we do not have sex trade because of a dumb Internet avatar that someone puts on the soccer forum.

I don't care how many kids you've had play soccer previously.... that was just dumb.

The reason Texas has the sex trade it does is because humans have had a sex trade long before there was even a Texas. And if my DD was posing like that I wouldn't be stupid enough to think it was because of someone's online avatar or even Miley herself. So you are free to live your life as you see fit but you do not control the lives of others. So when you get the urge to chastise adults on a forum, resist it and stick to the topic. Or I suggest you turn off your internet because there are way scarier things coming into your house than Miley and her foam finger

Sometimes freedom is a messy thing...and sometimes I need to stop watching TV (or looking at a website) if I am offended by it. That's the most responsible thing to do b/c I don't ever expect TV executives to change...unless of course they meet Someone who changes their life from the inside.

If it bothers tt9 that much, he could just go all Curt Schilling on futbollove, use the internet to track down fbl's true identity, and then send a copy of his avatar and posts to fbl's spouse, parents, boss, etc., and see if fbl is comfortable explaining his avatar and stance to those people.

This is, after all, a public forum where no-one is truly anonymous, and if you don't want to have to explain things you say or do on here to those close to you ITRW, then probably shouldn't be posting them on here in the first place...   At least that's what I tell my kids about their social media use...

If fbl is comfortable explaining his choice of avatar and defense of that choice to those in his life, oh well, guess tt9 would be SOL on that, because while fbl's avatar may not be in the best taste, he certainly hasn't done anything "wrong".

People have different values and morals.
If you feel that using a sexually suggestive avatar on a girls soccer forum is acceptable, that is your right.
If you object to it, that is your right.
