Looks like we are in for another 10 days of Rain, Looks like a few games got played this weekend in UAL and tourneys, but not sure much else will gets played this week... so back to speculation and such... BTW, anyone see 2 Platinum 05 teams, Liverpool RASE Elite 05 and D'Feeters 05, played this weekend in in the PT Tourney in the 04s?

Some good games last weekend but no discussion....
Texans Adames barely beating Fever 2-0 is interesting. Diaz won 7-0 and Parsons won 3-0 against them recently. Not the right time for Adames team to get soft. Looks like LP Elite barely beat sister Premier. Although, I heard a lot of shared players for that game know was sure who was which team. Or maybe because scheduling conflict as guest LP 04s had to help Elite get a tie against D'Feeters in Primetime game. Tomorrow nights clash between LP Elite and Pulp should be a good indicator on where those teams stand. However, Pulp put a whooping on the Boys this weekend.

Nice try SAS2G...there is NO WAY there were any girls from Premier playing with Elite and vice versa. The game was tied until that last 5 seconds...

There are teams that are called trophy hunters but it sure looks like another team should be named more frequently to that list. Within the age group makes a little sense but to use some from the top 04 team is pretty weak. No trophy this time though. Twisted Evil

Is this true? Did Liverpool bring in LP Elite 04 girls to help the LP Elite 05 girls get a tie vs D'Feeters 05? That seems odd, why would a coach do that this close to signing as it takes away playing time from the 05s he is trying to keep for select I would assume.

It is true and it was done for select. They play some great soccer and really move the ball. He felt they wern't quite as intense as the 04 team. So he brought in some of the more intense players from the 04's to help get them ready for select. We have had some 05's out at 04 practices and hopefully will see the 2 teams combine a little more in practices etc. The 04 elite team will do whatever we can to help the 05 team get ready for select. As far as the trophies go you can have those.

Oh and FYI there were no 04's for the pulp tie or of course the premier win.

And since you asked (you didn't actually) The 05 elite team plays every bit as good a brand of soccer as the 04's. They really move the ball well. IN MY OPINION what seems to be the difference is the level of intensity, aggression, and desperation to WIN everything. If we can help the 05's get that I think they can go back to the top of the age group and hopefully seperate themselves

You are entitled to your incorrect opinion. The coach gave a reason for the players and it wasn't to win the tournament. Now sure he could have been lying and he could spend every waking moment dreaming about holding the Whatever that tournament was cup. I am sure he is VERY concerned about what YOU guys have a problem with. The fact is it was an 04 tournament. Don't want to face any 04's then don't play up and you won't have to worry about it.

While I do enjoy giving it to go, got to admit LP has built some very good teams and has some very good coaches. But I have never understood why they feel the need to bring in their top kids to play with the lower teams to win a tournament. TD has an 04 PPL team that was already half way through the season when he brought in several Elite players to a tournament....they already had a contracted roster. What was accomplished here? They were already select. What were the kids on that team gaining by watching Elite players going against other LH teams.....makes no sense to me.

So, if I read this correctly, you "intense, aggressive, desperate to WIN" 04's dropped in as a favor to your less intense, less aggressive, less desperate to WIN little sisters -- I'm imagining Go as Alec Baldwin holding a set of brass balls in Glengarry Glen Ross: "Put that gatorade down; gatorade is for closers." -- only to draw with a Feet team that just a week before got drubbed 3-0 to a pure 05 Pulp team. Is that accurate?

they dropped in because their coach asked them too. As far as what TD did with his 04 ppl team I have no idea. And I can't even understand why he would bother or even care if they won some small local tournament. Exactly what is so great to gain from that? And call it however you want too but there is a reason the 04's are sitting at the top of the league and a number 1 national ranking. I get you guys are a little butt hurt and maybe feel it may skew your fbr I just don't care. Anything we can do to help the 05's get ready for select, count us in.

You seem to be the one proud of your #1 National Ranking and I am sure your coach is equally proud, could it be he is trying to build up the Gotsoccer points so that he has two #1 Nationally Ranking teams in the near future? No we will not be dropping in on the Colorado trip nut based on our experience there its probably a good idea that they play up there. Fun trip but not the most competitive. I doubt there were many points t be had in that tournament and if he wanted points he would have played 05's. There is no bonus kicker for playing up so your point is moot. And yes I am very proud of what the girls have accomplished

LP Elite took a 2-0 drubbing from Solar Pulp last night. Did anyone check the roster for 04s?

Was it league play? then you already know the answer to that stupid question. And 2-0 is not exactly a drubbing.

But since we are on that topic. Solar pulp is a really good team but thats the 05's I guess. they tie one day with elite the next 2-0. Haven't seen all of the 04's play but even Pulp doesn't seem to have that same bite. I can think of several 04 teams that have the edge and every year there seems to be a team or two that can seperate itself but not in the 05's. Based on what I saw pulp is just a better team right now but not by enough that elite can't pass them by select.

there is a distinct lack of a cutting edge in this group. The GAP does not sell 05 khakis

maybe in the 05's but not in the 04's. 0-2 isn't even full tournament points. 3-0 full points 4-0 is knocking on the door of drubbing. But even then there needs to be a "spent the whole game on their end taking shoots with all of the possesion." 2-0 and you just won

yes on 2 different ranking systems they have taken the number 1. Feels good to take it from California who seems to always have it. They seem to have a healthy lack of respect for NTX soccer out there. Hopefully this summer we can show them something different.
