Relocating to Dallas area from FL and need help finding club
Relocating to Dallas area from FL and need help finding club
Oldest played U 12 this year and moving to U 13.
Youngest played U10 this year, she is a true U9 and thrives with a highly competive team with a heavy focus on skills, first touch, etc. She has experience with 3v3 and plays on a separate tournament only team.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There are good coaches at the big clubs and good ones at the many smaller clubs too. I know families with one child at one of the big three/four, and another at a smaller independent club. It's all because the coaches & other players are a good fit, not the name on the front of the shirt.

If you end up in Frisco or northern Plano, lean towards FCD teams. If you end up in Richardson or eastern Plano, lean towards Liverpool or Sting teams. If you end up in southwestern Plano, you have more options and could look at Texans, Solar, and D'Feeters as well as FCD/Sting/Liverpool teams.
But, as others have pointed out, finding the right teams/coaches is much more important than finding the right club(s). Teams/coaches could change clubs (our DD's team changed clubs twice in one year, for example) and you may choose to change teams/clubs after learning more about how your DDs fit in.
There are so many teams (I would estimate 80+ select teams for each age group) and so many clubs (20+), it will be difficult to find the "perfect" fits for your DDs on your first try. At the same time, you are likely to find "good"/"strong" fits for your DDs with any large clubs or in any of the areas you are considering.

Once you know where you'll be you can see which coaches / teams are within range for you.
Then go practice with them and guest play if possible. Should be do-able to try out two or three to find the best situation for each DD.

Nice list from SDL. Has MOST of the clubs you'll see... missing a few of the independent clubs, especially ones that don't play SDL.
For FLsoccermom - there are several academy leagues around DFW. Most teams played this spring in the United Academy League with games around the Plano/Frisco/Carrollton area. There's also an academy league in Arlington, and ones run through private groups like SDL & the Primetime leagues. Some teams play in more than one league -- for example SDL or Primetime on Saturdays, and UAL on Sundays.
The top select-age teams play in the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League for U11 - U13, until ECNL & NPL begin pulling out the top performers. LHGCL plays in roughly the North Dallas/Southern Denton & Collin counties area. There are also select leagues in Plano & Arlington generally made up of teams that didn't quality for LHGCL or chose not to through the qualifying tournament.
