06 Girls Plano Labor Day Tournament 2015

Its a month away. It looks like everyone is doing 9V9 now that its an option. What teams are playing and does anyone know If they are doing Gold, Silver A or Silver B? I am attaching last years results as a reference of who played.

Juice box ... You are way over involved in 9 year old girls soccer . Isn't there anything else better to do than obsess over 9 year old soccer and past results and future predictions? Probably part of the reason why this entire soccer world has gotten so psycho ridiculous

We're ALL over-involved in girls soccer just by logging onto this forum.

I Don't think so!

But, I know that I just moved teams with my DD a couple of months ago because she was not happy. Not everyone was happy with where my DD wanted to go.  

You can't make everyone happy. My DD is loving her new team and coach and she is improving dramatically. That's all that matters.

I think stealing the tourney is a strong word. His team did what they needed to do the last game and end up winning the silver division by a point. So I would say they earned it.

Could the Solar teams have influenced the outcome if desired, yes. But those team are far more interested in developing their players and competing at the highest level on the field, which resulted in a tie. I guess it is debatable, but I am personally glad that our coaches took that approach as I think the girls got far more out of that competitive battle/tie than they would have gotten out of changing the color of the medal.

Actually Solar Red 07- Blue is completely AP 06

January - December AP?

Yes-actually they were all 07s so that team is all Aug-Dec 06.

How many '06 players does Solar have? I had no idea all these teams could play in the same tournament.

Well for PLD, probably not because we have a pretty full roster on the team for PLD. Beyond this tourney absolutely. I would also expect this group to mix in with other pure 06 from legacy 06 solar teams down the road.

As far as your question about 06 players I cant answer your question, but I would suspect a lot. Also don't follow your comment that they cant play in same tourney- they all have their own and separate rosters, so not following.

Only if you're referring to the silver division. Can't imagine them winning the top division.

OK Gotcha...well between Colvin & Byars they have 4 good legacy 06 teams and one new age pure (aug-Dec) 06 team. I would think that would put these teams/players in a very good position in adjusting to these age pure rules down the line.

how many from those legacy squads are calendar 05? none of the calendar 06s going to play up with 05s?

I have a hard time seeing any of the big clubs rolling out age pure teams with solely August to December players. Under the current rules most of the top teams are front loaded with the 05's. First time they play a tournament with an age pure roster of younger kids and get steamrolled by an age pure team loaded with January to July dd's, those parents will scream for changes. I'm actually fond of the change, my days of having the youngest kid on the field are coming to an end.

No idea- I was just talking about this from a very high level. Just saying given the changes having several teams in the age group provides flexibility in whatever direction the club/parents choose to go.
