Yes their are a lot of hack coaches out there. The big problem to me is putting every child into a box as a position. What is a defender in todays game. Wasnt Beasley a forward that converted to an outside back. Messi is a forward but the last time i checked you could see him defending in the 18. Tiki taka is a mordern version of the Dutch game. Take a little research and undertatand the theory that players can play any position with primary positions as their guidlines creates better players. Yes size and pace is important but skill is more important as well as IQ. The emphasis on winning now is so big here that it creates hack coaches trying to please parents. Thankfully there are coaches in this area that try to get it. Maybe not enough but when you find one don't leave him becausr they move your daughter to several positions. Don't you want your kid to learn English and math. Why not defense and forward. Just not goalie those kids are strange and should never be allowed on the pitch and their parents should stand behind the net giving encouragement until the ref catches them and sends them to the group of parents that they don't associate with.

Pleeeeeease?
Sure. As long as you don't say Messi wouldn't have made it in NTX soccer, I should be able to keep it together.

Surely one would not dare to compare the brave goalkeepers of the world to muskrats? lol!

I like your style, GK's are the "go to" players for assigning blame and even though my DD splits between center back and defensive mid she let's my BB know that he screwed up the game on every goal conceded. Thank heavens my DD is a field player or I wouldn't have any soccer friends at all.
Having a GK should come with a manual that teaches you how to be a stealthy net LURKER.

Being a GK parent should come with a manual containing many chapters, I suppose Stealthy Net Lurking could be included

Step 1. Accept the fact that you and your offspring are freaks.
Step 2. Enjoy.....but under no circumstances should you talk to any of the rest of us.
You're Welcome.
