Annual Christmas Poem

Annual Christmas Poem Empty Annual Christmas Poem

Post by InaB 04/12/15, 03:55 pm

Twas the night before Christmas, when all across the site,

The whole place was happy with nary a fight.

Stockings were hung on the goal posts with care,

In hopes that a perfect season soon would be there

The players were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of stardom danced in their heads.

And Pack Rabbit in her kerchief and OLJW in his cap

Had both settled down for a long winter’s nap (But not together).

When out at UTD, there arose such a clatter

They sprang from (their respective) bed to see what was the matter.

Away to their windows they flew like a flash

Tore open their shutters and threw up …. (sorry fell asleep) the sash

The moon by DadO3 on the new fallen snow

Gave the lustre of midday to objects below.

When what to their wondering eyes should appear,

But BWGophers’ van pulled by eight little reindeer.

That little old driver, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment, it wasn’t St. Nick.

More rapid than snails his reindeer they came,

As he whistled and shouted and called them some names.

Now Solar! Now Sting,

Now Andro and Stangs,

On FCD! On Fever!

On  DT and Aztecs

To the top of D1!

And on to ECNL

Now dash away, dash away Dash like H…l

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly

When they meet with a Dual Roster mount to the sky

So up to the LHGL office the coursers they flew

With a van full of ECNL’ers and CPPs too.

BW spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,

And filled all the rosters, then said what a perk!

And laying a finger aside of his nose,

With a cup of eggnog up the chmney he rose (Hey LHGL could have a chimney).

BW sprang to his van, to his team gave a whistle

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But Pack heard him exclaim as he flew down 75

Happy Holidays you schmucks, you won’t catch me alive!

Sad

So good it brought a tear to my eye.

Finally, after all of these years working to imitate his figure, I get to play Santa! santa

Thanks Ina!

Made me smile...thanks Ina. I want to plead the fifth on the moon though (my lawyer's suggestion).

See.......its this kind of misinformation and innuendo that leads to all kinds of misunderstandings and then people wind up "disappeared".

For the record. I'm "The Outlaw"......I don't sleep.

Additionally I can't help but notice that InaB seems to know way too much. It's unclear as to whether she is a highly trained secret agent for BIG BROTHER or just your garden variety peeping tom. Either way I think she has adequately demonstrated her total disregard for privacy rights. I have it on good authority that she made "the naughty list". Gonna be another year of coal & switches.

All I can say is smile at the Teddy Bear, speak louder next to the kitchen light switch, and pay no attention to the odd contraptions on your cat or dog! Cool

Sorry OLJW, I ran out of mini-cameras. I honestly thought that miniature fluff ball could handle the weight.
