Spring League So Many Options

Wow......looking at Spring league options so many choices.

-Saturday and Sunday
- AP vs Traditional ages
- for 05AP only offered at Primetime where players can play up with select
-UAL for 06 9v9 vs 11v11
-UAL for 07 7v7 vs 9v9

Mind boggling. Can't wait to see where all the teams land and for all the changes occurring to smooth out.

So where are all the 06s?
Lots of missing names on playing Sat and Sun
Big clubs that usually have 3-4 teams in platinum and gold

You forgot to mention the Elite Development League in Richardson is offering an '06G AP league.

Will this league publish scores or will it be like SDL that does not report scores?

Does it really matter?  

Experience suggests there's always some ultra-competitive parents of North Texas Soccer who really care about that stuff - and they typically post the scores right here on this trusty North Texas Girls soccer forum for other adults who really care about that stuff.        

Gotta keep it real though, the EDL is first and foremost about the kids and their development alongside professional coaches.  Make no mistake about it, 99% of the elementary school kids who train hard each week looking to play their best each weekend (while feeling accomplished at the same time) could care less if their scores gets posted online for a few crazed parents to argue about.   We're not here to judge though.

Well said 06southgirl ... Nothing against your keeping it real comment regarding kids + development. Seen this sales pitch sooooooo many times. So, will you post scores or not? Simple yes or no will suffice. Few crazed parents ... Hmmm I doubt it ... No need to bash these crazed parents. Don't forget it is these crazed parents that are funding these happiness of NTX soccer.

To answer your question about whether it matters or not? Yes. There will be teams who don't want their scores posted. And there will be teams that prefer to compete in leagues that do.

It appears your marketing approach is to discredit the crazy North Texas soccer parents to justify why your league does not post scores. I respect that you have a target market. But, for crazy soccer parents (such as myself) I feel it necessary to clarify why some prefer leagues that do post scores at this age of academy. For the 06AP group we have less than six months before we, the crazy soccer parents, will pay a pretty good amount of money for select soccer and will be locked into a contract for a year. I am not complaining about the money either because my coach trains my child year round and I feel I will get my money's worth in development at practices. But the scores help teams and parents see how their team is progressing and what their chances are at qualifying for various select leagues. If that makes me crazy, or other parents in North Texas crazy, I am personally okay with that. I just wouldn't want to be the parent going in blindly and signing a contract then going to qualifying and not having a shot at all. As far as development......I believe that is achieved at practices.

Well, then EDL has more than one 'crazed', 'ultra-competitive' coach too, because they PM'd scores for FBR. (note, none published on this 'trusty North Texas Girls soccer forum'.

Oops there goes the "kids+development" mantra out of the window ... Again ...I find it interesting when things like this come out. It could have all been avoided with a simple statement saying we don't post scores but one has to bashed the crazed parents ... Look what happens ... They have a crazed and ultra competitive coach that PM,PM again the scores ... Funny how things play out.

Yes not many 06 teams registering gold when gold is highest division offered or platinum if platinum is highest division offered.
