Good Lord, people! The DIGC brackets have been posted 4 days, and NOT one single prediction has been made?

1- Who wins their bracket ?
2- Who makes it to the playoffs?
3- No commentary on brackets or scheduling?
4- No commentary on Texans' annual homering up the brackets and playoff scheduling?
5- Are some of the lower ranked local teams supplementing their rosters?
6- Any info on the out-of-town teams?
7- Where are the ECNL and nationally ranked team from the past?
8- Commentary on college coaches attending?
9- Anyone know how rare a thread this is? InaB hasn't yet commented on it... Its akin to finding ...

BRACKET A- The DANES or FCD & FRIENDS

BRACKET B- FEET ECNL

BRACKET C- SOLAR & FRIENDS or The GERMANS, dark horse wildcard CLUB STING featuring a FERRETTI cameo.

BRACKET D- DT ECNL (it is to laugh)

BRACKET E- ANDRO, most competitive bracket therefore my favorite.

Our 00's are hosting the U17 OOST NEDERLAND team. OOST means EAST, incase anyone was wondering. The team is an All Star team formed from 3 East Netherlands teams and including members of the East Netherlands champions.
Our 02's are hosting the Nuevo León girls.

Should be good, looking forward to it. I'm working on smiling. Thus far I've progressed past scowl, can achieve a grimace on command and have nearly produced a sneer on an occasion or two.

I wonder how many girls will miss games for HS playoffs?

Wow, having a team travel all that way to be in a tournament that is above their level. It seems their have been some teams in this tournament from other countries (Nuevo Leon) talking to the parents had no idea what Level of competition they were walking into.

Strange, they shoulda known, their 00's played here last year.

I said this last year, but I'll say it again. Hosting players from other countries is immensely rewarding. More valuable than an entire years worth of soccer dues.

I have been extremely impressed with the girls we've hosted. Last year it was Nuevo León, this year it's Oost Nederland.

These Dutch girls 16 & 17 years old, are fluent in English.....fluent.......blows me away. Last night as we arrived home the tornado siren was going off. The 16 year old Dutch girl says, "wow, that's loud....listen to the Doppler effect". My 16 year old honors student daughter says, "what's Doppler effect?" Made me laugh. Maybe I shouldn't be laughing, but I was still impressed. At the end of the day, for my kids to see first hand that these kids are so much like them, it's absolutely priceless.

Sorry to bring this up again, but that wasn't the true Solar Elite team.  They pulled down their ECNL superstars yet again so I predict it isn't just the German team which will feel the pain. (Assuming of course that the same Solar team takes the field for all remaining the games)  I would also say the majority of the 00s in this showcase would get a similar result. Regardless, I hope the Germans will be able to hold their own with the rest of the teams in the bracket.  

Honest question...Why would you bring out the ECNL girls for a showcase?  I am sure they already have their spots on college teams and it only takes time away for the girls that are still looking. What am I overlooking?

I didn't know the Germans were such delicate flowers.

you sure about that Maggie?  How many players did they bring with them from ECNL?

I know of two, but couldn't say if there were more. One is really fun to watch play so I had to stop when I spotted her on the field. She contributed two goals alone in the short time that I was there (which was only about 5 minutes).

Are you including one that has played consistently with them for 2 years?

Maybe? I know she has played 19+ ECNL games

Has DIGC become a second tier tournament? All top level players should be left off rosters? Other clubs (Texans , Defeeters) have their entire ECNL teams registered. What's is the problem?

If the posted score is correct....maybe Texans ECNL should have maybe brought in some help against Sting Patulea ????

I do not know about Texans ECNL, but I know some teams may be greatly affected today in particular due to the number of high school playoff games. I think most HS games are today/tonight and really put a lot of girls in a tough spot. I can fully understand girls playing their HS playoff game over a showcase tournament game. I am sure there are plenty of folks that would disagree totally with that concept. Anyway, some teams may be more depleted than others today is my point.

Texans ecnl played w 9 the whole way from what I heard. English girls are solid. Very even match with Solar Gold (and Andro from what I heard).

Didn't go our way, but it was a pretty good game.

If Texans played with 9.....that is impressive.

Heard Feet was in a similar situation to Texans ECNL and played with less than 11 on the field (Maybe only 8?)

Maybe coaches should use better judgement with the high school age teams and not enter. Sounds a bit foolish to subject your players to this environment during the playoffs.

Like everyone else, probably not all their players are committed; I have no problem with it-- this is not new info for  this DIGC.  Most of the NTX  teams excercise the option to have guest players- for whatever reason- evaluation purposes, scouting etc.  Not worth getting aggravated over... Now the wind- that was aggravating... You release your cocktail for even a second- you lost it.

Whoever Solar brought, I guess they didn't tell the Mustangs, bc they played them tight & held them to 2 goals (0-0 at half?).
