Please Select Your Current Age Group and Division *
This field is required.
Please select your end of year (post playoff) rank within your division

In this section, you will choose which age group bye your current team is claiming. You have TWO choices.
1. Take the bye with your youngest player.
If you select this choice, your current older players are not eligible for this team. For example. A current U11 05 team is comprised of 05 and 04 Birth year players. If you choose to take the bye with the youngest player, your team will be classified by your youngest player which is an 05 and your 04 players will not be eligible for the team. Younger players are eligible to play up on the team.
2. Take the bye with your oldest player.
If you select this choice your team will be classified by it's oldest players. For example, a current U11 05 team which is currently made up of 05 and 04 birth year players would be classified as an 04 team with your 05 players playing up on that team.

...so how is age-pure affecting this forum?--when clearly each age-group now has historical posts and data for the current age-alignment... Do I start reading-up or reading-down?

How then is that decided?
...maybe LH solving this issue on a case-by-case?
Hypothetical Bigclub owns all club byes and doles them out as they see fit. In most cases, they will move teams as close to AP as they can. So moving the bye up or down is really just a numbers game for club with multiple byes at each age level. There will be new tryouts for each of the anointed coaches/teams at each age group. Team A will be using the Div I bye and Team B will be using the Div II bye.
Smaller clubs or teams in big clubs that are geographically isolated will make decisions more on a team basis. Again it comes down to numbers.
The 75% returning should be interesting as that would primarily only apply to teams moving their bye up. So if I earn a Div I this season and return 75%, then I get a Div I bye at the older age group. While if I only return 70%, then does my Div I become a Div II in older age group?

Yes interesting scenario. And then if that 70%'er does get moved down, I'm sure that would be enough to cause many of your up-to-that-point stayer players (parents) to bail--or are they BOUND?
