State Cup Result

Well good morning pack. I can tell you this, that for the majority of our season (including tournaments) Solar C has played and invested time in our core team. On a couple of occasions, we used dual roster players, one game which we won and a couple which we lost. So, I wouldn't say that using them gave us much of an advantage, especially since we were playing teams who also added ECNL players to their rosters. (Which was why we used them.)

As to using them above our starters, no the coach did not play them above our team players time wise on the field.

Sorry if I offend anyone but No matter how you try to sugar coat, minimize or justify it, this practice is wrong and has been and will continue to be abused. Using the excuse "we did it because they did it" only enables this practice even more. It doesn't matter if they are used "above" regular players or not. If they are on the field, they are taking time away from said "regular" players.

I know. Preaching to the choir. Those benefitting from this practice or who's dd is not affected will defend its use because it helps them win. If those dual rostered players really needed the extra touches, why not play on a level of team where they can routinely get those touches?

KennyPowers I agree with your above post. Our game with Solar Hopkins is a game they used the ECNL players. It was to their benefit as we are not with a club that can use ECNL players. So saying they only used them because the other team did in not true. I know girls on Hopkins and it was during our game the ECNL players stayed on the field while subbing out their own players. And the only goal in the game was scored by the ECNL player that never left the field.

CPP is tricky we did not have one instance of CPP this season, but we did partake last year a few times (mostly due to injury) . However we did not win any of the games in which we had help. Also as Ina pointed out, if I remember right they had the ECNL girls again't us and we won the hard fought game 1-0. Solar Chelsea is a good team ......with or without the ECNL girls.
