Which 00 D1 team advances from the playoffs?

This will be an interesting weekend...

One of the first four, and one of the next four.

IMO, Sting Brown is easily the clear favorite, but if they stumble...Is it Fever? Can Sting West or DTN pull it off?

The second bracket is very difficult...IMO, Garrett, SG or DT Red could all take it. DT Red has been great lately, and I wonder if they aren't the favorite. Sting Garrett and SG will not go easily, and Aztecs tend to surprise at times that people write them off...

D3: what are the rules again- one weekend of truth and winner of each bracket advances or point total?

1st Bracket is where everyone wishes they were-- the bracket has a chance...

Brown is not only the favorite, but has the better schedule, having the weak sister Sting West in 2nd match of day so it's not having to play the 2 physical teams - fever & DTX--consecutively.

Bracket #2:
IMO, the tougher bracket... BUT no offensive juggernauts either... So any team that can convert 3 scores from lucky, crazy, cheap, terrible, awesome, ridiculous CK, PK or FK's will very well be back in D1 next year.

Coach PR believed this weekend will come down to tight matches and has advised coaches to focus set pieces this week in preparation.

Whoa!! Brown came to play... Did not expect the Brown v Fever score! Brown is in the drivers seat... Can they finish off big, physical scrappy DTX-N team with a win in 2nd match of day? I've seen this brown team really dominate... And then say "Sting Who?" the next day. They will have to bring it against this DTXn team.

Don't call DTX-Red Cinderella before you play them or she'll clean your clock... Floors... Teeth... GK... this team beat a quality opponent...that coach got them believin'!!  Now, I'm not handing them D1 yet or making them a princess next year...  It's one thing to get up for a few tournaments, it's another managing the long D1 season grind and have your bench depth exposed...

But before we proclaim D1 top tier, there's  a KEY MATCH up next against the old SG veterans, who has been THE dominating upstart for years, but due to that D1 grind, the injuries, increased weekly competition and some untimely opponent CPP in key matches... They find themselves in an unfamiliar position fending off the upstart. Both teams are similar in size and style, I look forward to watching this one!

Any particular reason DTX Red not wearing full Texans Uniforms? Would think all legally rostered players would have regulation gear with corresponding number...

SG and DT red was a tough game. Exactly as I expected. Pretty even through much of it. Both teams with some good chances.coach Rabbit would have been proud of how hard the teams played.

Uniforms they gave us this year...think they are changing next. We do have one that had a sister play on a '98 team earlier this year and another that had to get a replacement a while back. But yes, they are all legally rostered players. They really just seem like practice uniforms but they have worn them every game this season.

Not quite sure what your insinuating, but since the team moved from FWFC mid kit cycle, the team was allowed to purchase a modified kit to save some money since the team would have to buy again this year. All girls are legally rostered and have proper number on the shirt and shorts. 2 girls had to replace a lost jersey on the fly so had to buy the newest Texan jersey that doesnt quite match exactly in the color scheme on the sleeves. There have been no adjustments to the roster except for some subtraction due to injury and other things.

Anyone know the score of the Sting Garrett v. Lady Aztecs game at 4pm today. For some reason it has not posted.

I think it's quite obvious some kind of unfair advantage happened here and deserves to be looked at more closely...  Do you truly expect us to believe that some D2 came out of nowhere (Aka Ft Worth)... and trampled over these D1 teams?

Personally, I am interested in learning more about this "modified kit" given to all "legally rostered" young ladies you brazenly refer too... I'm sure the only "modification" is the color scheme doesn't "match exactly"... Oh, yeah, Mr. Nerd (IF that is your real name), I have YOU and that little team from FT. WORTH nailed.

I think it's crystal clear to everyone is that had your team (from FTW ), had been required to wear the the correct (i.e., "unmodified"), UP-TO-DATE Texan gear, you would not have played as well.  In my day, we worried about PED's... Now, we have the scourge of PEK (Performance Enhancing Kit) is striking our children.

Prabbit...you nailed it! Those plain jane uniforms that D TX RED FTW has worn all season have special powers that made those girls play well! Seriously?!?! Look at the team roster which includes pictures and you'll see the same girls that played in every game (unless they were out due to injury) obviously your team got beat by these hard working , talented, well coached girls. Maybe you should invest in these magic uniforms...or better yet look into a team that works as hard to win as OURS does.

To those people that are calling the DT Red the Cinderella team and assume they cheated their way to D1 just because they don't have the original uniform ( which is the dumbest thing ever), you have probably lost to the team or wish to have or be in this team! These girls have practice long hours, have gone mornings and evenings training, have fought in every single game they have played, and have gone through injuries and worked really hard to recover and get back on the field, to EARN their spot in D1 and EARN their spot in regionals. Not only have they won many tournaments but now they are WORKING to EARN the top spot in D1. They will prove to every single one of you what kind of team they are! They don't cheat their way through success they EARN it with hard work and dedication from every single one of their players and their coach! So thank you to every person who is hating on that team because I know that you are only making them stronger!

Humor is always appreciated. DTFW has earned thier D1 spot and no amount of hating can take that away.

I do have a question and a shout out. How many teams were down to field players in net this weekend? I know of 3. And those teams lost 1 game amongst them. Well done ladies. That is very impressive.

Since the LH website has not posted the score of the DT Red vs Lady Aztecs score, can someone please tell me what it was?

By saying this the implication is that there were illegally rostered players out there. All girls had Texans jersey with numbers and have been on team all year.

Hey Pack, thanks for the props. Nerd and I get your posts, humor, and greatly appreciate your support. It has been a long road, not just recently either, for our group of ladies. I think emotions are a tad high and the defense mechanism may come out a tad too early. It will pass.

With regards to the team, they have had a tough path to earn an even tougher path. It is only going to get harder but that has been their goal to this point.

Packs humor is like English Comedy shows (i.e Benny Hill or Faulty towers) some get it and find it funny and some don't.

As to Cinderella - yes that is actually complimentary as she became the princess and stomped the wicked step mom and step sisters (at least in my version she did)

The offense was taken in the insinuation of the enhanced roster due to the "modified kit". That allegation was insulting to the girls and their hard work, that they did not do it on their own. If that was not the intent of that post (I don't know how it could not be) then there is no offense.

Some people don't find your "humor" funny. It is more of an offense to the team and their coach. So if I you don't want people getting on to you then I would clarify myself or just not say anything at all (i think the second option is better )
