the pre-season #1 and #2 should be an interesting matchup.  Game time is 8am so DTS will need to be on the road EARLY to get up to Fairview/McKinney.  Still, their athleticism may prove too much for Pulp's squad.  Speaking of Pulp, will he be at the game?  Parents have said he has been to less than half of the games thus far.

Prediction:  DTS Adames 2 Solar Pulp 0

Dallas Kicks JM vs. Fever Penn

First time meeting between these two.  Fever lacks depth but has some fast horses that can score.  Kicks JM are a disciplined bunch with high soccer IQ with equal speed to boot.  Kicks beat Fever Tharp 05AP 20-0 (not a typo) but this will not be as easy of a match.

I'm surprised by the DTS game. Maybe Pulp has more than everyone thinks? We'll see. Great job by those girls. Honestly, keeping it close with DTS is impressive.

Fever won 1-0, but in chatting with an official and marshal, they said Kicks JM added in three players on their roster. One can only surmise that they came from big sister Selecao. They also said the Kicks coach was going ape sh*t at the end of the game trying to get the tying goal. Given the talk surrounding this game before the playing of the game, my guess is Kicks was NOT wanting to lose. I bet they held Selecao players back in the morning game knowing they wouldn't need them to win. (They were right given the morning game score... lol) It's within the rules of LHGCL so more power to them. Let's see if Solar does the same thing next week.

I'm 99.99% sure you can't CPP in a 2nd game the same day that your primary team plays. Believe you may have received some bad info on the Kicks game

So, just read the CPP rules and as long as you deactivate the player from the original team, you can CPP on the same day for a different team in your club. You just can't play for both teams on the same day.

I know you're not, KC. You and I apparently have much the same view on stuff as evidenced by our many recent exchanges on these forums.

I'm not sure if the marshal was just standing there or if she had knowledge of the teams in question or what. Like I said, I didn't dig too deep. The official wasn't one of the ones for the game either. He was just standing with the marshal like they knew each other. I was there waiting for my daughter's game later in the day. I just strolled over cuz I saw the interest on the forum the days before. It was already 1-0 when I got there and I stayed for like 5 minutes. For what it's worth, JM looked to be holding the possession for the most part.

Dude with the Selecao picture as his avatar says no Selecao players played so who knows. Someone is obviously wrong/fibbing/making stuff up, but whatever. it's just fun to talk about because I have nothing better to do at work.

I like the "Game of the Week" topic/discussion...keep it going.  Looks like the top-4 in this division may be starting to separate themselves...DTS, Kicks-Selecao, LP Elite, & Fever.  The battle for spots 5-9 & D1 byes is going to be epic for the rest of the season, and there are probably 9-10 teams that will be in the mix for those 5 spots.  Sadly, it's probably going to come down to the teams that "mis"-use the CPP rule that get in.

I am sure it has been misused since it's inception so many years ago. Prob the two biggest uses for it are
1. Not losing a game
2. Giving a player time up on a higher level team that deserves it
Somewhere on this list is injury and whatever. I do know you can not play on two different rosters in a single day.

Dude, man.  CPP been used like that for-EVER lol.  I've been a dad on a team that discussed CPP use almost every week.  It wasn't done every week, but it was discussed. My oldest daughter (who is now in college) was shuffled around maybe twice a season to help with big games.  ECNL players coming down to play LHGCL was (and I assume still is) common.  You think it's for the ECNL player's development?  HA!  Obviously, ECNL NOT involved in this age group in question, but that's just another advantage of big clubs.

As far as the top 4, I agree with the top three for sure.  I think Fever is a bit on the border.  They've lost to LPE and haven't played the top 2.  True, they haven't lost to anyone below them, but they were close with Shepard and snuck by Kicks JM (the question of CPP notwithstanding). They still have to play Solar and Sting West.  I'm still thinking Sting West has a chance to sneak up there. (NOT Robles but the other one. Robles might challenge the record for most goals allowed this year.  Feel bad for those kids)

Fever wins this game 3-0. Kicks Selacao is a very good team, but Kicks JM will not be able to hang with the top 5-6 LHD1 teams.

How many teams does FCD have at the 05 age level? I believe this should be billed as "The Battle for the 5th Best '05 FCD Team." And when u add 4-5 more FCD 05 teams playing in Plano, there are certain top 10 FCD 05 bragging rights in play here. Lets go with a 1-1 tie for this game though.

I saw the last 20 -25 minutes of DTS vs Solar Pulp game, waiting to play ours on field 5 .  If the whole game was played the way those last minutes were, I don't see how one can surmise that Solar Pulp could keep up with DTS.  It was one way traffic into Solar zone.   I don't remember seeing the ball getting into DTS 18 zone in the few minutes I watched.   A Sting Parsons parent who was present, mentioned that DTS was also missing 2 studs who had to play up with DTS 04s.

So, just read the CPP rules and as long as you deactivate the player from the original team, you can CPP on the same day for a different team in your club.  You just can't play for both teams on the same day.

I like the "Game of the Week" topic/discussion...keep it going.  Looks like the top-4 in this division may be starting to separate themselves...DTS, Kicks-Selecao, LP Elite, & Fever.  The battle for spots 5-9 & D1 byes is going to be epic for the rest of the season, and there are probably 9-10 teams that will be in the mix for those 5 spots.  Sadly, it's probably going to come down to the teams that "mis"-use the CPP rule that get in.

What about Andro? Real or just haven't played anyone yet?

I personally don't know that team at all. Just looking at who they've played and their results in GotSoccer, I don't think you can buy that team yet. The "best" team they've played so far is Guzman who is 12th right now and tied 0-0. They've beat Bellas, Robles, Redknapp - all bottom teams. If you look at summer tourneys, they basically played Plano and D3 teams. At PLD, they played Guzman with a W and T. Lost to the only good team there (FCD JDL Blue, the #2 JDL team for FCD) and tied Bean. I suppose they have an outside chance at around 10, but I'm still going with my documented 12-15th prediction that I posted somewhere.

Dude, man.  CPP been used like that for-EVER lol.  I've been a dad on a team that discussed CPP use almost every week.  It wasn't done every week, but it was discussed. My oldest daughter (who is now in college) was shuffled around maybe twice a season to help with big games.  ECNL players coming down to play LHGCL was (and I assume still is) common.  You think it's for the ECNL player's development?  HA!  Obviously, ECNL NOT involved in this age group in question, but that's just another advantage of big clubs.

As far as the top 4, I agree with the top three for sure.  I think Fever is a bit on the border.  They've lost to LPE and haven't played the top 2.  True, they haven't lost to anyone below them, but they were close with Shepard and snuck by Kicks JM (the question of CPP notwithstanding). They still have to play Solar and Sting West.  I'm still thinking Sting West has a chance to sneak up there. (NOT Robles but the other one. Robles might challenge the record for most goals allowed this year.  Feel bad for those kids)

Understand CPP has been used to win games for years by utilizing ECNL players playing down, sister clubs, etc. But for a club to remove players from the team on which they are rostered, for purposes of playing that day for another club team that has a tougher game...that's just dirty!! Not saying that happened, but that was what was suggested above, and just wrong.
