Games of the week (Feb. 25 & 26) Empty Games of the week (Feb. 25 & 26)

Post by greaterisHe 21/02/17, 09:54 am

This week's games of the week pose several interesting questions:

STING WEST 05G VS. FEVER UNITED 05G PENN
Can Fever keep up with the athleticism of Sting West and if so, it looks like we could be headed to the all exciting TIE?
Prediction: Sting West 0, Fever 0

LIVERPOOL 05 GIRLS REDKNAPP (F: INFINITY) VS. STING DALLAS GUZMAN 05G
Who wants it more? Sting Dallas Guzman needs points, points, & more points and plays solid defense however Liverpool 05 Redkapp has more scoring weapons.
Prediction: Liverpool 1, Sting Dallas 0

FC DALLAS YOUTH 05G NORTH WHITE VS. DALLAS KICKS SC DALLAS KICKS JM
Who is going to make it into the top 9? Dallas Kicks are already represented with their Selecao team. If FCD Dallas wants to be represented, this is a must win. Dallas Kicks JM are a more disciplined bunch but FCD Dallas could pull from their JDL teams (as seen in last week's game against Fever) and win on sure talent/skill.
Prediction: Dallas Kicks JM 0, FCD Dallas 1

These are all big games. Every game of the week played this half of season will have some sort of implications on relegation/promotion. Who will take the 9 spot for D1. Who will stay in D2 and who besides NTFC will be promoted to D2.
It is possible but very very unlikely that Kicks Selecao or DTS lose to anther team besides to one another. That will be a big game that week. A tie in that one and weaker teams beware. It may come down to GF.

Selecao could help JM out due to the high importance of this week's game. This would be a good strategy. Selecao will have to be strategic in their player sharing though. They play Sting East Gray who plays good defense.

FC Dallas did use several plays from their two JDL teams this past weekend in an attempt to defeat Fever.

Not real sure you could say week 2 is such a high importance game that they need player assistance for. On the bubble later and they might get help. Best time would be game 4 or 5, just before the player pass rule really kicks in.

Judging by this thread if you use JDL players, not only will you lose but you won't score a single goal.

Minus a handful of 05 JDL players in total who are difference makers, a team needs to borrow more than 5 to make a difference in a LH game.

You are definitely right. There are a half dz or so players that could make a difference by themselves. However 5 isn't possible unless they are dual rostered. Different topic though. Just comical that players were brought in to play and it made literally no difference in these games. Usually I believe it makes a bigger impact.

FC Dallas and Kicks JM competed hard but they both could not come out on top. The Kicks have two challenging upcoming weeks. Maybe they can pull out another tie. It seems to be their pattern.

Missed the Fever win by two. Didn't see that coming..

I got to my DD game early and watched the 2nd half of Sting West v Fever game.  Sting controlled 90% of the game but just could not get it in the goal.  They were doing a great job of passing the ball (they have great technical skills and speed), and Fever was playing a great kickball game.

You mean, JM? If so, yes. I think they've lost more than once to Fever. Or do you mean FCD? If so, then again yes - they lost to Fever last week.

More smart ass than a real question.  It was stated in blue they could use CPP and win on skill and talent like they did the previous week. However they lost the previous week. That was all. So I was just being me.

Must have been heckuva good kickball team to win 2-0. Especially since speed and athleticism usually wins kickball games. Since Sting West is acknowledged as the faster, more athletic team, it seems strange they lost 2-0.

I didn't see the game but it seems strange that a kickball team would be successful when they are slower and less athletic. Just sayin'.

Hahahahaha. Agree on that. I guess Fever got lucky in that one too. They apparently can't keep up in athleticism or talent or skill.

How about Liverpool Redknap winning 5-1. Tell me that didn't have any CPP going on. That put them in the hunt at least. Perhaps just in the conversation.
