05G Games of the Week (Oct 9/10)
Sting Central Parsons vs. FCD Red Baker
FCD Red is coming off a 3-1 win vs DT Central and Sting Parsons should be well rested after their bye week. FCD Red beat Parsons 4-0 in Plano Labor Day tournament but I am predicting a bit of an upset here...a scoreless draw...which is what happened when these teams played each other in Lake Highlands QT last year.
Prediction: Sting Parsons 0 FCD Red Baker 0
LHGCL D1
Dallas Kicks JM vs. Dallas Kicks Selecao
Kicks JM are coming off two draws last weekend, including a tough match against Liverpool Elite. I think their sister team could probably run up the score quite a bit on them but will likely go easy after a couple-three goals. This will feature some good soccer and well worth coming an hour early or staying an hour extra to watch.
Prediction: Dallas Kicks JM 0 Dallas Kicks Selecao 3
LHGCL D3
FCD East vs. FCD West
Another exciting intraclub matchup. Both teams started the season strong but the last 2 weeks have them both slumping. FCD West (fka Andro West Blue) barely beat last place Solar Bourg and drew with #7 Waco United. FCD East lost to Sting Garrett, which, if not a typo, is embarrassing.
Prediction: FCD East 1 FCD West 1
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

These predictions should be the start of some good conversation.soccerphun wrote:JDL

Someone mentioned Solar Pulp won over FCD, didn't know the score.
Solar Colvin 3-3 tie with TSC.
DTS was leading Sting Higgy 2-0 by the time we left the fields. Don't know the final score.

DTS finished 2-0 over Sting Higgy. Pretty impressive since a red card was shown to Higgy's GK just midway into 1st half (and wrongfully so). Development.... Pulp over FCD Blue? Sounds about right, but probably close. Heard TSC tied Sting Parsons 2-2 yesterday. Sounds like TSC would be a great addition to JDL.

The score was not indicative of the game, IMO. Could have been worse.

2-0 Fever. Reports are that the game was not this close. The AR I spoke to said he thought it could have been 5 or 6 easily. Fever goalie never threatened.
KC, I think you and I were right on this one. Andro just hasn't played anyone. I think we'll see them begin to struggle as the teams they play heat up.
On a side note, my dark horse to crack the top ten (Sting Shepard) seems to be hitting a tough patch. They may not get there...lol

Re: 05G Games of the Week (Oct 9/10)
Its one thing to talk about the top 5. Those get sorted out midway through Spring season. Its another completely different topic to talk about bottom 5. Those teams will struggle regardless of who they play in league. The real talk should be about the middle 5. Those are the ones that will have the most impact. So basically who is #8 and #9 and who will be relegated. Just hypothetical at the moment since we haven't finished Fall yet.skiberdad wrote:KeeperCommander wrote:Game to watch right here.lewi9 wrote:Fever/Andro game is a big one too in D1.

Sting Shepard must have been pulled from a hat to be your dark horse. They may see DIII next year unless something amazing happens.

Re: 05G Games of the Week (Oct 9/10)
I don't think they hit D3, though. Maybe they hang on to D2. Meh...
Ok, KC.......end of yr prediction
#1-5 -- Selecao, DTS, LFC, Fever, Kicks JM, Aguero, Sting West (Maybe not exactly in that order)
#8,9 -- Sting Gray, FCD North or Solar Byars(again, pending how many times Byars' kid comes to play for them...)
Who you got?

Re: 05G Games of the Week (Oct 9/10)
You got me there I did not notice that their schedule was that heavy. They have a much easier sch in Spring I guess. Still don't see them climbing out of cellar too far. They may stay in DII but it will be close.skiberdad wrote:I'll admit. I was fooled by some of their close games at qualifying and the at the beginning... lol but look who they played. They've played Aguero (not a top top team, but not horrible), Fever, Selecao, DTS. One would not expect good results there. Theeeeen they lost to Andro and Sting Bean.... so there you go. I whiffed on the dark horse... haha

Top 4 in order (DTS, Selecao, LFC, Fever) If things go the way they have been then DTS/Selecao game in Spring will be fun to watch non the less. I think Selecao/LFS play soon too.
#5-9 Kicks JM, Sting Grey, Triumph, Sting West, Solar Byars. FCD North could very well tie or lose their next 2 games against DTS Central and Bellatores, but they might be the only team capable of knocking one of the 5-9 teams off.

How could a solid team get beat 6-0 and sit at 10 in standings.
When you say "it's a solid team", i get a good laugh.
+ if not for false advertising, it's a JDL team, they would have been a solid D2/D3 team. Don't know who is trying to fool who here.

Re: 05G Games of the Week (Oct 9/10)
I simply mean that's a team that plays hard and can string some passes together. They are better than most of the other teams Andro has played. If Andro wins (which I don't think they will), it gives them a bit more legitimacy. That's all we're talking about. No one is claiming this is a JDL team or anything.

There is the Payne we have all come to be annoyed by. Don't mind them skiber, when Payne gets annoyed they babble along with incoherent sentences and do not make sense. Hard to follow sometimes. Soon they will be a colonel and not fool around with us peasant folk.majorpayne wrote:At king tut
